ARIATMen's Workhog Wellington Waterproof Composite Toe Work Boot

Great for the office or the worksite.
I've just ordered my 4th pair of these in 5 years. I'm a technical instructor for a mining and construction equipment company and I'm on my feet 8 hours a day minimum. I keep my new pair for the office and classroom and retire the old pair to use for the training workshop and out in the field. The composite toe makes a big difference in how cold my feet would get in the field during the winter and the boot is lighter compared to steel toes. They look sharp and professional in an office and provide durability in the field. I never thought I would be a fan of a slip on boot over a lace up but the fit is snug and supportive, far moreso than I expected. I can't speak to the waterproofing complaints that others have shared here but I generally wear muck boots if I'm in terribly wet conditions. My biggest adjustment to these was finding good socks that stay up past the calves to avoid the top of the boot rubbing against the skin on my legs. I'm a huge fan of these and will continue to buy this particular boot as long as this style isn't discontinued.

Comfortable and waterproof
I really like these boots there are very comfortable and work good. They are definitely waterproof! Although about a week after getting them I was riding home on my bike in the rain and when I got home I took my boots off and my socks were damp. So I thought it was because going at highway speeds with the rain that the boots were leaking. So I got a hold of Amazon and they sent me a replacement pair within two days. I tried those and come to find out they don't leak my feet were sweating and it was getting my socks wet. So they don't breathe well as far as that goes but they are definitely waterproof. They work great on my motorcycle and they're comfortable at work. Definitely worth the money and I'm sure they'll last a long time.

Aptly named Work Hog
I've worn these daily on a construction site for the last four months and I have to say these are the best damn work boots ever! I've tried many boots and none of them have performed as well. They are comfortable, durable, and protect my feet in the harshest conditions on the job. They also eliminate the back strain I get from wearing other cheaper boots for hours on end every day. The work hogs are an investment that pay huge dividends! Time will tell how well they hold up and I will update this review if they fail that test. For now I am very pleased.

Be prepared
I bought these boots because I was in need of new work boots I do mostly landscaping type work. I have a pair of Ariat cowboy boots that I were and I love them and they fit great so I figured Id give these a try. I've been wearing them about a month and they have held out the water fine no wet feet boot seems to be of good quality like one would expect. The reason I wanted to write the review though is because these boots where a bear to break in. They fit super tight when bran new and I was surprised by that considering I bought the same size boot as the other pair of Ariat's I have. They did break in and feel much better though after a few weeks except the toe. This is the first pair of boots I have bought with the composite toe would never buy steel toes because of thermal regulation but seeing as these aren't steel toes and make for some nice protection I though I would give them a try. This is what I have to say about that considering that these boots are nice and snug there is no wiggle room. I absolutely hated the composite toe at first it was just uncomfortable all the time now that the boots are broken in the toe feels fine on level ground or going up hill but when going down hill my toes and foot still press into the composite and its not comfortable. Might be a simple fix by ordering the next width bigger I actually wish Id ordered a EE instead of a D like I usually were probably would have made breaking the boots in much better and still fit plenty snug or maybe even consider ordering a half size bigger, I wouldn't do any more than that though its nice to have boots that aren't sloppy and pull your heal in tight and Ariat boots do that nicely. So by no means am I knocking the boot just wanted to let ppl know that they are a bear to break in and don't have much for wiggle room. I am happy with the boot and probably could have avoided any discomfort by finding a pair to try on in a store first.

Awesome Boots
I had the same version of these that were lace ups. The lace ups were size 11 and a little too tight in the toe (safety toe). So I ordered these in an 11.5 that fit loosely. Exchanged for a size 11 and fit perfectly. I wear a 11.5 in most other brands. This is my first pair of pull on boots, love them. Fit well, easy to break it, lightweight, durable, 100% waterproof so far.

Super awesome boots!
I got these boots for my husband, he’s a pipefitter and abuses the crap out of boots. We were replacing his Justin brand boots, he had to put his redwing inserts in his Justin boots because they weren’t that comfy. I’ve always worn Ariat Fat Baby boots so I suggested he get some Ariat boots. He absolutely loves them! He says they are extremely comfy and don’t make his feet hurt at all. He says there was barely a breaking in period (which is the same for me with Fat Babys) and he doesn’t feel the need to have extra inserts with them. He even wears them when we go out! Which is saying something because he wears skate shoes like DVS. Anyways these boots are amazing!

Very comfortable
Pull-ones are supposed to be a little loose so you can get them on and off, which I like tight boots. I usually buy 12W in boots, but the last pair of pull-ons I purchased were loose, so I purchased regular 12’s this time. They were a little snug when I first put them on, but they loosened up perfectly after a couple of hours of wear. Most comfortable pair of work boots I’ve ever had on.
