Dream Weaver
Dream catchers, like the God’s Eye craft, draws artistic power from simplicity. With nominal skills and materials, you can create an original piece of folk art. This retro crafting kit comes with more than enough materials - such as beads, feathers and yarn - to create an oversized project (see pic with craft catcher on left, homemade one on right). What’s missing in this set is clarity. The instructions were tiny and hard to follow especially for constructing the woven net – the dream catching part of the craft. Wrapping the ring was a challenging, two-person job thanks to the extra-chunky yarn. The crafting kit, one of four different retro sets by West Coast Paracord, a company specializing in parachute cords, is an affordable and attractive introduction to dream catchers. Use it as your base concept for designs and materials of your own choosing.

Need glue, scissors, and takes about 2 hours
Too complicated for an 8 year old to do alone. Needed to sit with child and assist. Besides scissors and glue, says you need an EZ beader tool, whatever that is, but we just put tape on the end of the cord to thread through the beads. Instructions also say to write your dreams on the wooden beads in permanent marker...but the beads are small, so that’s hard to do. We wrote single words and used simple symbols...but I’d skip that part of we ever make another one. Attaching the feathers required glue. The process was a little difficult because you had to make the net with a very long cord that you had to pull through each time you made a loop. The end result was nice though. Ours was teal, blue, beige and white, with two white feathers, a black feather, and eight wood beads. I don’t know if the are all the same color or not. We were happy with the purchase.

A little Difficult for kids under 10
I had a great time with these, I bought these as an art project for my 7 & 11 year old. The 7 year old was way too young to be able to do this. You need a little finger dexterity, that for an adult is no big deal, but may be hard for a kid. My 11 year old did it with minimal help, and I did it for my 7 year old, and told him about the significance of dream catchers, and let him label the beads.

The web part is a bit tricky to get perfect.
I enjoyed learning how to make a dreamcatcher. Now I can make more. It turned out great. I hung it on my front door for everyone to enjoy.

Easy but time consuming
I purchased this for my step daughter's birthday and she loved it. It was a little more time consuming than expected but it was easy to assemble.
