The SIM was activated in USA before vacationing in South America, as instructed.I was able to make calls with the SIM, but, I was never able to use DATA, and really, DATA was the purpose for the SIM.Thinking maybe the charge was used, I added another $25 USD to the plan.... still no DATA.Contacted tech support via email, several days later, received a reply in the last few days of my trip, and was instructed to remove SIM, start phone without SIM, turn off, install SIM and restart..... Still no DATA!So, basically it was a complete waste of $55 USD.Don't buy this unless you research and know it will provide the service you want.For DATA, you are better off getting a local SIM in the country where you are traveling and keeping that charged... less expensive also, and less hassle. (Only more hassle if this travel SIM actually worked!):(

Really easy to install. I bought this primarily to help with being in touch with family and friends while I travel abroad (Europe and India).

cheaper and easier to just pick up a sim card in each country if traveling in SE Asia, this card did not work as described.

After reading other reviews I was nervous about whether the SIM card would work. I followed the directions for activation that were included and had no problems at all. I activated and tested before leaving the US.

It came earlier than expected, which is great and this is the second one I have and they both work like they should. saves the time in finding a sim card when you travel to others countries.
