Don't waste your money!
I got this product with the intention of using it to broadcast my iPhone to my TV. First of all, it was not clear from the photos accompanying the product description that it required a separate power source, which was annoying. It provideds a cable, but no plug. But I hooked it up, and proceeded to set it up. The directions were not clear, but I finally got it to display my phone. It was a bit complicated to hook up, because somehow it hooks up via wi-fi to bot. h your phone and then your internet. It would hook up for awhile, then all of a sudden shut down. When I would go back to hook it up, It wouldn't recognize the ID code that is given on-screen. Kept turning it off and back on to reset, but it wouldn't reset. Let if sit for a few days and then came back to it. It started up and I was hopeful as it hooked up again, but after a few minutes did the same thing, lost the signal, then acted like it didn't recognize the code and wouldn't let me hook up. The best I can figure is that it overheats (although it doesn't feel hot), and once it runs for a few minutes malfunctions. Now I've passed the return date and am out of luck. At least this one came to me. I ordered another one before this (not via Amazon, different company, but same EXACT product picture) but that one is stuck somewhere in China. The delivery company app (Arrive or Atreo) says it is delivered, but when I contact them they say it is in Transit, as does the USPS. So, I'm out my money TWICE on this product. Don't be stupid like me. I'd love to hear about another product that does the same thing but actually WORKS!

Might be ok for slideshows
Just spend the extra money on something you KNOW will work. I set this up on a tv within two feet of my router/modem. It’s not compatible with most popular streaming services (there is no video that shows on most, just very choppy sound, so it’s not even useful for streaming music). When video does show up, it lags horribly and the sound is t in sync. It was also annoying to set up, as the instructions are pretty unclear, both in the pamphlet and online. As the title says, it may be good for showing non-moving pictures that don’t involve sound. If you want to turn your tv into an expensive poster, this dongle is for you.

What a waste!
I wanted something to plug in and go. I have had nothing but problems trying to get this to connect with my phone or tablet. It's not easy to connect and the setup directions suck. Spent too much time being frustrated!I would recommend a better quality product.

Could not connect using Surface Pro 4
Purchased this dongle primarily to display my Surface Pro 4 screen on smart tv, and although the dongle showed up as a wireless display option on my Surface, I was unable to connect to it. Still rated a 3 star, because I was able to connect and display my android phone using the EZmirror app.

Didn’t do what I thought it was going too
It hooked up easily and displayed my iPhone to the TV but only for a few seconds at a time. No video at almost at all except for sound. Very disappointed.
