great for arts and crafts
I actually bought this to use in my art journal and in my crafts projects- who couldn't use a basic black tape? Instant basic photo frame on all my pages. I love this tape because it's durable, holds up well to mixed media and water, sticks nicely without destroying the page when lifted (don't leave adhered too long because it will become permanent) and has a nice glossy sheen to it.My favorite use so far, though, has been with wrapping gifts- I use sheets of patterned paper (black and white and grey damask) and tape them together with the tape and it looks seam-less and elegant, to be honest.Very happy with it. And a nice price point, too, since a little roll of black washi tape can be expensive. This is a giant roll os slightly more durable tape that I can use without worrying about wasting it.

Great Product!
I love the tape I got from this seller. I bought it in 1" and 2" and then later after they arrived and I began using them, came back and made a second purchase in size 1 1/2". I really like it and it works perfectly for what I needed it for! My rolls didn't have any weird issues like some of the other reviews and didn't look previously used at all. I will definitely be buying more tape from this seller when I get low on the ones I have now! :)

Great for stringed instruments
I used this to tape my cello and it was great! It stayed on and was easy to place.

Surprising amount of uses
I'd purchased this because I'd once acquired a small amount of thin masking tape from a friend a while ago and found many miscellaneous uses for it- marking cords as mine, around the inside of a tin so the lid stays on more tightly, using a strip to mark the same distance between hooks for hanging lights rather than marking up the walls with a ruler and pencil, etc. Anyway I'd never seen it before or in a store since, so I searched for it and ordered this. A very good amount on this roll, the right amount of stick- like regular masking tape, but a little heavier, like painters tape (perhaps due to the dark color.) I think it'll be a while before I order more because it's such a good sized roll and I have no dedicated use for it. But much like a little mini sewing kit, though I don't use it daily, it can come in handy often enough to feel the need to always have it on hand. If you know what you'll use it for, I'd say this came in good condition and was just what I expected, so I recommend this item absolutely.Edit to add: I bought the 1/4" tape

I was surprised when I actually found this tape. I wanted some that was thin enough to cover a photo mat. The only downside I found was it didn't stick all that well and it looked like it had been used or sitting in storage or somewhere for a while because it was all bent and warped.

What can I say
It's black masking tape. Photographers use it. Burglars proly like it too. I'm a designer and I use it to mask out areas on models and mock-ups. It's a good way to visually block out thickness. If the mocked up table top is too long or wide an inch or two of Black Masking tale and the proportions change. And you can create and refine curves with it too. Good design tool. This tape is good quality. Thick with good adhesive. As with any masking tape it gets hard to remove when it dries out but that's not a problem in my use. It used to be easier to find. After searching the city Amazon had right there on my laptop.

GREAT for my cello and upright bass!!!!
I bought this tape to use for marking the fingering position placements on my cello and upright bass, and I couldn't be MORE happy with my purchase! The black tape blends EXTREMELY well with the ebony finger boards, and can only be seen by me. I know this in an unconventional-use-versus product review, but hey, it performs EXCELLENTLY for my intended purpose!!!!!!

Just ok
While I expected masking tape this is made out of a sticky very thin crate paper. I use it to patch my bullseye targets so I can save money on targets. Having to break off small pieces to cover .22 cal holes the tape twists up and I'm forced to cut off a half inch or so on a regular basis. Not sure if I'll buy more of this since even with the waste it will last me a long time. If I can find black masking tape then I'm done. To be fair the twisting is caused by trying to break off very small pieces rather than long strips, and the fact that the tape is so thin in width. And the pieces that I do break off without waste work just fine. From previous experience and my last roll, stronger tape works much better. I have a 1/2 in roll that works good for rifle target patching.
