Good build up to what’s happening next novel. Cover many interesting ideas and plot point for festival that’s happening. Highly recommend series

It’s been a while since I read the web novelI can say that the LN version has more details and contents; I prefer it that wayI love Isekai world building and incorporating earth and Japan in their Isekais because why not? And this volume has this.Not much fights and actions but it did not become boring because hey, action fantasy novels can be entertaining without fights too. Maybe because making the dungeon stuffs were really entertaining.I hope other readers also find this volume as entertaining as I was.

Everything that happens in this novel is after the war with the Holy Church and its aftermath and before the big festival. The world is not at the brink of destruction (for the moment). Most of the novel is Rimuru expanding his empire one business deal and one problem solved at a time. I would not recommend reading this novel as a standalone and once vol 9 is out you could maybe skip this one plot wise. So why am I giving it 5 stars? It is because of the excellent world building and the interaction of characters that I have learned to care about in earlier novels. This novel is proof that you do not need big battles, huge drama, momentous events or gratuitous sex and violence in order to be entertaining.

You don't get much in the way of action or suspense in this novel, but it is an entertaining read. This one focuses more on world building, and I can respect that. The writing is, as always, significantly above average compared to other light novels of the isekai fantasy genre.

So many thing will happen I just know it. It has to its the Founders Festival with all the events do this and I'm caught up then surpassed the anime let's go full steam ahead to current volume release

Time to grab the next volume and see how the festival goes off with a bang! I have been thoroughly enjoying the manga and spin-offs and look forward to season 3 of the anime! The attention to detail and nuance keeps me thrilled and engaged!

Such a fun read. A huge complicated world full of fantasy characters with all the same issues us earthlings face. Politics, romance, aspirations and so much more. There’s so many characters to love 💕
