great case for carrying small mixer board
i bought a small mixer board for my gigs and it fit in this case very well. I was able to pull out the required amount of foam for a perfect fit of the mixer and another small amount to put the power cables. It provides great protection for all the knobs on the mixer.

Great for studio gear
This has been a great addition for my recording studio. Protecting my mics is a big deal, and this case nails it!The pre-diced foam padding is awesome, it's so easy to set up a cozy spot for each microphone. No stress, just pop them in, and you're good to go.The case itself is a good for light traveling. Not as tough exterior as some higher-end cases, but it's got soft, cushy interior that's perfect for my gear around the studio. The latches are strong and can be locked, so I'm not worried about anything getting jostled open. It's the perfect size too—compact but not too cramped. I've got space for all my essentials without lugging around a giant box.I was a bit worried about the foam wearing out, but after weeks of back-and-forth to the studio, it's holding up like a champ. No weird squishing or sagging. So, if you're like me and just want a solid, no-nonsense case for your gear, this one's a winner. It's made my studio life a whole lot easier, and I'm sure it'll do the same for you!

Fantastic buy decent quality
I purchased this for a mini PC and keyboard that ships to conventions. It had the perfect tear out option to keep the device secure and minimize damage. I read some of the 1 star reviews because I was curious as to other people's complaints. Most say it is low quality or cheap. This doesn't feel cheap to me, it feels on point with the pricing. Sturdy, easy to tear out to customize the storage compartment, and compact enough to fit onto a bigger case for shipping.

Let's see if I can make a case for this item...
This case affords more simple drop protection than rigid crush or impact protection. The perforated, low density urethane foam insert is the primary feature; it's customizable, and the process for doing so is clearly explained in the information card packed inside. The "cubes" of the 2" thick insert are actually 1/4" square by 2" long, and connected together by strands of foam. The information card inside explains the technique for separating the "cubes" to make a custom container for the items you want to fit inside. The process is fairly easy and slick, but you have to plan your moves to avoid detaching foam that you want to keep in the shape equipment to be protected. This case will protect from simple mishaps, but don't count on it to survive a fall from a moving vehicle, or a fall of more than 15 feet or so, or to keep your equipment from being stolen. But it does look kinda classy when you open it up to show whatever's inside your tailor-made case.

A real bargain
I bought this to pair with a “Zoom H8 Handy Recorder” and a small tripod. I bought the recorder from a different online retailer. They also offered it in a bundle with a decent SD card and an SKB case that costs in excess of $100 more than this one.Is the SKB case sturdier? Undoubtedly. Is this $30 case sufficient for most people’s needs? You bet!

Meh.
It's ok. I've had a case like it before and the latching mechanism broke quickly. I don't expect this will last long, and as such I won't order it again. However the diced foam and case body itself is exactly what I needed. I can't recommend it but it's good enough for me right now. It's also smaller than I thought it would be even though I measured out my items, they didn't fit... order larger than you think you need (even if you plan for the padding around it, go bigger than that.)
