Wow. Seriously -- instant POE (power over Ethernet) converter.
This is nuts. For 6 bucks I can get a POE converter. These work great for my wyze cams.Do not run extension cords in your attic. Too high voltage/amperage.This allows you to run low power over distance (say, 150 or so feet max) and ends with USB female, converting your USB powered camera into a POE powered camera. POE cameras are usually more advanced but less user friendly (think Costco camera bundles by amcrest or something). Wyze cameras are super user friendly but are USB powered. One side ends with USB male going into the wyze power adapter that came with the cameras into an outlet in the attic. You shouldn't run power extension cords through your attic. Google it. Instead for safety you run cat5/6 cables adapted to power from the wall, using these. Very low power here, something like 5 volt 0.1 Amp. Super safe low power.I am powering a wyze camera 50 feet away with ease, in my attic, safely.I literally can't believe POE conversion is now this easy. Almost too good to be true. But it works.OH IMPORTANT: IT MUST BE STRAIGHT THROUGH CABLE, NOT TIE OVER. GOOGLE THIS. STRAIGHT THROUGH CABLE IS IMPORTANT AND THIS WILL NOT WORK IF IT ISNT. POE REQUIRES STRAIGHT THROUGH CABLE, I bet it's why one of the 1 star reviewers couldn't get it to work with any cameras of theirs. Amazon brand and Walmart brand ONN Ethernet cables are "straight through" cables. I am using ONN brand from Walmart. While writing this, I decided to test 150 feet of ethernet cable, best buy (store brand (yes the big best buy retail store brand cable). IT DID NOT WORK. The power was not stable. So I would bet that 100 feet +/-30 is the limit. It does power on but the voltage clearly drops off because my wyze cam shuts down quickly. Again, this is for ultra low power applications, so maybe 100 feet max.Easy, easy 5 stars. I'm buying another set. Blown away satisfied. How is this not sold at every Walmart in the country.UPDATE A MONTH LATER, IMPORTANT TO WYZE CAM USERS:Wyze cam v3 seems to (my guess) require too much voltage to write to SD card consistently. I'm not fully sure but just want to save someone the trouble until my testing is complete. But do not get the wyze cam v3 and power it via 50 foot or more Ethernet using this adapter (not the adapters fault!) If you plan on writing to SD card! I'm testing for Wyze cam OG next. Will update.

Good quality cat5 or better
Finally installed, need good cat5 or better cables. The shorter the better.

They work, but not for intended purpose...
I needed to extend a webcam about 19 feet. I didn't want a long usb cable running across the floor, and I already had a cat6 run in the wall to the other side of the room (that run tests out to 29.4 feet). Using this item, I can get the computer to recognize a mouse, a keyboard, and even a usb flash drive (with severely degraded read/write speeds). This item will not recognize the webcam at all. Sad part is that I bought two of these for a total of 4 pairs. None of them will work with a webcam. Unfortunately, I didn't even get around to testing this out until well after the return window, so procrastination bit me in the rear this time.

Inconsistent
You get what you pay for, only one pair works, the other seemed to work intermittently for a short period of time and now doesn't work at all. Probably can't beat the price though.
