Great controller, very sensitive buttons.

This is a review in the wolverine v3 pro wireless controller. This controller was bought after the elite 2 I had suffered from stick drift within 30 days of purchase. It is much better than the elite 2 for stick accuracy. The triggers and buttons have a nice click to them like a mouse click.I do find I’m having to move my little finger and ring fingers out of the way of the rear buttons so I don’t press them accidentally as they are quite sensitive to button presses, gives my hand a little cramp, but overall this is a minor point as you can just disable the button programming to press nothing when you aren’t using them and have your hands back in the natural position over the back buttons.Batter holds up pretty well, not quite as long as the elite 2’s but enough for a good couple of gaming sessions. Was easy to set up with the razor app, this is where you can see the controllers battery life, the battery doesn’t show properly like a standard Xbox controller as the controller uses a dongle and it gets a permanent charging reading off the dongle. The weight is lighter than the elite 2 and doesn’t feel quite as premium but it’s doesn’t feel as cheap as a standard Xbox controller.

Premium Controller

I moved to this controller having previously owned an Xbox Elite and Elite 2, both of which suffered from stick drift and unresponsive bumper buttons. The Razer Wolverine V3 Pro has hall effect sticks, bye bye stick drift and the tactile button clicks feel super responsive. The back buttons also feel in a much more natural position compared to the Elite's, but the additional two bumper buttons are more awkward and I find it difficult to use them.Overall, I'm massively impressed with the quality, feel and responsiveness of this controller.

Overall good controller

I wanted to love this controller, and I did for the most part, the mouse click buttons, the ergonomics, the readjusted and revamped back paddles etc are all amazing, however my one and only gripe was the stick tension, I bought it mainly for COD, and the tension on the right stick was just too much for me, it made aiming feel clunky, I have since returned it and gone back to my elite series 2, maybe it's because I got so used to the elite 2 and it's adjustable tension sticks, also probably just a preference thing, but it is a solid controller, whether it's worth £200 tho is up for debate

A decent controller but Overpriced and lacking basic features.

First of all the good. It’s a fantastic feeling controller, feels premium and the tactile buttons are great. The battery seems decent too.Now the not so good. The controller lacks basic features and is misleading. It states you can adjust the thumbstick sensitivity, whilst this is technically true, what it doesn’t make clear is that you have to hold a button down the entire time you want it to be less sensitive. There is sensitivity slide in the app but it doesn’t seem to do anything without holding the clutch. You can create profiles but you cannot change them on the fly, you have to go into the app to do it. This wasn’t the case on the V2 so it’s a feature they’ve removed for whatever reason. Also, as of writing this, there is no way to update the controllers firmware unless you own a windows PC. There is no option I can find in the Xbox app.Drift is still present, although minor.Possibly the most bizarre part is the total lack of charging indicator. The controller flashes for a few seconds on plug in and that is it. The controller doesn’t even tell you when it’s reached full charge so you just have to guess.. The included instructions about charging are wrong as confirmed by Razer support.A £200 controller that lacks basic features. Overall I’m disappointed with it.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!

I still own the OG Wolverine Tournament from 2017 and it still works flawlessly nearly 8 years later. The new model has a very cheap build quality with no weight to it whatsoever which is a complete downgrade from the OG which was well constructed and designed. Speaking of design, it's now fully plastic with no grips and feels awful in the hand. The extra shoulder buttons are badly designed when you press them the LB and RB buttons disable for a few seconds for no reason. The same thing happens when pressing the rear buttons (the design on all extra buttons is inferior compared to the OG, the new material and feel is way off). On top of all this if you want to change profiles you have to go onto the Razer app and do this manually every time which is very counter intuitive and time consuming considering the app takes half a minute to recognise the controller is plugged in upon opening.Honestly the extra £40 it would cost you for the OG Wolverine is well worth the investment and will last you a damn sight longer than this absolutely piece of trash.

Excellent pro controller.

Really happy with the controller initially. I've only used it for a couple of weeks but I love the customisible functionality and the flappy buttons on the back. It holds it's charge and lasts a while before it needs charging again. I'm really pleased I got this over the Xbox Elite 2.
