I purchased a different manufacturer of a battery dummy and it didn't work but this one works perfectly.

Does exactly what I needed

Never have to worry about battery life for a fixed camera :) Does the job.

In my home studio I use several DSLR cameras mostly for hosting and streaming live video calls as well as recording content for my channel. As such I always use dummy batteries this running off mains power for sustained power.This Global AC 100-240V 50/60Hz, has an output of DC 7.6V/2A 15.2W with an extra Long 12 Ft cable to the AC/DC adapter and is compatible with the Sony Alpha a6000.Frankly I was worried about the camera or the battery overheating but I haven’t experienced it so far. There are a number of models of dummy batteries that basically offer the same functionality but this one does seem to be good quality and more importantly works without issue.One niggle I have is it does feel very light and plasticy but so far it does seem to be holding up so far.If you have a compatible Sony camera then this dummy battery is well made, competitively priced and as such recommended.

This works fine but when you consider how small phone chargers are nowadays, it's difficult to see why this package needs to be so big. For a start, there is a standard figure 8 mains cable and a separate transformer unit. It would be much better if the transformer was built into the plug and a single cable to go from the plug to the camera. There are of course USB versions of these so I'm hard pressed to see why you would want a mains version when a USB version is so much more versatile: You could charge it from a phone adapter, computer or powerbank.Apart from that, the quality is ok but nothing special.

This camera battery pack, though ultimately unsuitable for my particular needs, may hold value for those whose requirements differ. Its design and functionality seem well thought out, and for certain users, it might perform admirably. Unfortunately, I found it lacking in aspects critical to my usage, which left me unable to fully appreciate its potential. That said, the build quality and overall presentation suggest it could be a reliable option under the right circumstances. As with any product, its suitability will depend on individual expectations and specific use cases.
