This product did not work for me. I placed this item inside my sons bag as he has become independent walking home from school. I work 2 minutes away from my sons school and it could never pick up a signal. It’s too complicated for a simple device. I ended up buying him a cheap phone and installed a free app tracker on it. The idea is great but in reality it’s not feasible.

I had two of these, the second one was a replacement as the first that didn't work at all.The item connects to your phone via Bluetooth and an app that you download.It took a few attempts to get it to connect.It alerts you when your phone is not close to the i-tag tracker. I used the tracker for keys. You have to keep it right next to your phone or it will alarm all the time. In my case, if your tracker was in the next room it would the alarm would go off. Sometimes it would go off when you had the tracker and phone together in your pockets.It would also disconnect. Most of the time it wouldn't reconnect automatically or alarm and then you would have to go through the connect procedure again.Disconnecting is a big problem as you have no idea it has done this without looking at your phone. Once it's disconnected none of the features work.I managed to get the first one working with a new battery. but it was just the same.I wouldn't recommend this product.

Do not use their app, it does not work. You can use a different app (even they aren't perfect but at least work). The device itself is OK... Flimsy, don't drop it, doesn't look waterproof as it hasn't clicked together properly, but if you have some glue you could probably do it that way and make it more durable. But it's cheap and actually works with the right app.

It’s worth spending more money and getting a Tile. The range is too short and the tag is just another clunky thing on the dog’s collar. Took it off after 10 mins.
