Am I glad that I can replace the head instead of the entire lamp. It works really well.

I've been using TDP lamps since I worked at a chiro office in 2000 and used one every day on my break. Once I left, I had to have one at home and it's been that way ever since. Nothing replaces these, even though I do enjoy my far infrared heating pads as well. But these lamps are a daily staple for health in our home, for us and our animals, who absolutely love them.Because we use them so often, the heat place seems to burn out after just a couple of years. Thankfully, they do sell a replacement head and it's working very well.One odd difference between this head and the original one which came with the new lamp 2 years ago is that this lamp makes a very noticeable clicking sound as it heats up and as it cools down. It sounds like a switch being triggered inside the head, so maybe there's a new mechanism in these to regulate turning the heat plate on and off? All I know is that I've never heard one make this sound in 23 years of use and working with a dozen of these at the office and at home.This one is also hotter, once it's fully warmed up, than the previous lamp even when it was new. Not a problem, I just hope it doesn't mean this will burn through the heat plate faster. Only time will tell.But this shipped the same day, came in 2 days with Prime shipping and took seconds to replace the old head. I'm keeping that, in case we decide to become handy people who can replace that heat plate ourselves, but I am very happy to far with this new lamp head.I honestly don't like living without at least one of these functioning at home, they're really helpful with so many things and they're indispensable during a long, brutal winter.

Wish I knew that this would not fit the lamp base that I had. Unfortunately, I had to return it and buy a whole new lamp with stand.

It fits perfectly with my old lamp and works great!

As an Acupuncturist who relies on my TDP lamp daily it was great to be able to only replace the head of lamp instead of having to buy the whole lamp again. It is working well, is a bit wider than original one which gives a little more area of warmth and looks good too. Thank you for making this available!

This is the stock 6 1/2" head that comes standard with the Choi KS-9800 TDP lamp. It is NOT a larger head, and is EXACTLY the same. The 7.8" diameter advertised refers to the diameter of the outer metal cage, and is not a measurement of the mineral heating head itself.

Great product. Rated for 10,000 hours of use.

Very expensive. Half the price of a complete new floor lamp. Works. Fits.
