Maurer & Wirtz Tabac Original After Shave Lotion for Men, 6.8 Ounce

I already keep the aftershave on hand and wanted something with a bit more oomph to add to my scent locker. This product does not disappoint. The scent is fantastic and while I do wish it lasted a bit longer on my skin, it still performs admirably. I have to warn you though this is a MASCULINE scent, not a sticky sweet kid stuff bubblegum perfume, nor a tacky spray and pray locker room special. It has a classy masculine smell that goes well with a man who likes cleaning guns, wrapping flies for fishing, reloading ammo in the garage or working on that car restoration. Its a fantastic classic scent that wasn't made from real bits of panther but definitely smells sexy. If you like smelling like all the 20-somethings in skinny jeans and overly groomed lumberjack beards getting advice about how to pick up women on youtube then by all means steer clear of this and leave it to the real men - it will most likely clash with your moisturizer.

Over the past 60 years, I have probably used every affordable cream, lotion, and after shave liquid. I love everything about Tabac and have finally stopped shopping.

The sent was not as strong as I remember it to be, but still a nice fragrance, light and nice clean smell.

Great scent like shave cream and feels great on skin

I am a long time user of Tabac and have just purchased two of these EDTs. Seems 100% genuine to me. There was some original German over-wrapping in the box, and the code numbers on the bottle bottoms seem correct. More importantly the scent and duration are just right. Someone else mentioned that EDT and Cologne are not identical. Seems right to me. When I have bought the plain cologne in the past it has always seemed thin and soon fades.Also - package came next day for me here on the East Coast. I would certainly buy again.+++++++Update - May 2013OK - I have bought from this vendor multiple times since my first purchase, so I am clearly still happy. Enjoy!

Almost passed on ordering this when restocking my colognes. I'm so glad I didn't. This definitely has those old school barbershop vibes to it. Very fresh and clean.

I ordered this fragance without actually knowing how it smelled. Well... turns out that I knew the fragance, back when I was a child in the 80s. For me it meant that I smell like an old guy, but it seems that some people like that.The Frangance has been described by my family members as: baby powder, soap, after shower. Personally I think is not exactly that, it smells "manly" but there's certain motel soap hint in the blend. If you like that, if you like remebering the late 70's and early 80s, and you are over 30 years, probably you would like it, personally I quite didn't. But is not bad, it's just not my type; bought it thinking it would smell like (because a site said so) Joop NightFlight or La Perla Touch, but it's VERY far from that.
