GAUDER Self-Adhesive Metal Tape | Thin Metal Strips for Magnets, Tonies® Figures & Shelves | Ferrous Tape (10 ft)

Cleaned the wall with alcohol, applied 4' of tape, let it sit overnight. Is holding up the 2lbs I needed it to hold. However it has dangerously sharp edges paper cut x 50! It hurt 😭.

Works great. Purchased for my DIY dog door. Strong enough to secure a close.

I used this tape for a Tonies shelf and the 3.3ft fit perfectly on my 14’, 3 tier shelf. My only complaint is that the tape came in a smashed roll which left a little fold that I can’t seem to flatten out. You can see it in the bottom left corner of my pic. Otherwise, it worked great and was a reasonable price.

I can't speak to how good it is for it's actual intended use.]I saw a lot of reviews saying this worked well for making your own Tonies shelf. Do NOT use this for anything your children will use. The edges are SO sharp, especially when you have to cut it to length. I stabbed myself in the hand fairly deep with a pointy edge after cutting it to length. That was my own fault, I should have been wearing gloves. But there's no easy way to dull the edges after cutting it, including the sides of the tape which are basically like thicker razor blades.It also doesn't sit flush to whatever you're applying it to due to the padded adhesive strip, so if you're planning to use this for a Tonies shelf, the metal will be slightly raised, and in a perfect position for your child to cut their little fingers when grabbing for their Tonies. I understand the concern with messing up the chips in the Tonies with a magnetic sheet, but that's what we're deciding to go with after this misguided choice in order to protect our little ones' hands.

I used this to attach a unit on the dash of my vehicle. It works great in the winter. However in our summers it un-adheres (is that a word?) - but in El Paso it's like we're living on the Sun. If I leave it alone it stays tacky enough.

I bought this to use for a lightweight magnetic light. Unfortunately despite being sold as such, magnets don't stick well to it. I have 3 lights, each with pretty solid magnets, 2 wont even stay on, they immediately fall off. The 3rd stays on for a time but will eventually fall off. They have no problem sticking to any other metal surface so it's the tape. I even tried some fridge magnets and they barely stay on even with no weight to them. Very disappointedThe back cover for the adhesive is also rather difficult to get off because of the foam strip between the adhesive and "metal" part, often resulting in pulling/stretching/tearing of the foam strip's corners/edges.

Sticky side is highly adhesive, metal side easily sticks to magnets. It is sharp, so just be cautious.
