Excellent knives
Very high quality knives at a great price, Extremely sharp and stay that way due the the sharpening block.

Wonderful
Sharp, cuts perfectly. Handle feels sturdy and comfortable, well balanced, not heavy but feels secure. Block sharpens as you replace the knives, looks good. Block is at a good angle making it easy to remove and replace the knives. Worth the cost.

Beautiful knife block
Looking really smart, the knives are very sharp and great to use. You can feel the quality when using them. They look great on your worktop and are also self sharpening, which is a bonus. The sharpener is in the block, in each knife slot.

Sharp knives with only a few issues
I ordered this knife set knowing it was an in-between, mid-range set of knives. It did not specify that this version of Henckel was the cheaper version made in China rather than Germany, but regardless the quality and durability associated with the brand is still there. I read from other reviews that the knives can get rust spots, and unfortunately I have started to notice a few spots here and there. It is relatively easy to clean and remove if you spot it early (which I did). I strongly recommend drying the knives immediately after washing to help prevent rust buildup. I noticed the rust only after about 6 months of use, and only on the knife I use the most.The sharpening inserts in the block are a nice bonus, I have noticed that their sharpness hasn't decreased that much after consistent use. Obviously knives will dull regardless over time, but the sharpening bits inside the block do make a huge difference in extending the life of the knife.

Good knives, bad sharpener.
Knives and block look smart, the sharpeners are ceramic type and built in the the block. These sharpeners ruin the blades by chipping the edges making a nasty ragged edge. Best to use one of the rolling type sharpeners available on Amazon for a really sharp quality edge.
