Rinse Babe Rinse!
I’m surprised makers of rice cookers don’t put the following in bold type surrounded by a box.: You must rinse the rice thoroughly or the starch will boil up in your cooker will probably cause overflow. And just a quick rinse under the tap or even with a spray hose won’t do it. Here’s the best way to do it. It works 100% and you’ll learn something. put the rice in the cooker or in a separate bowl cover it with a good inch of water. see how clear the water is. now stir with a spoon and watch it get cloudy. Watch non-rice particles float to the surface. Drain. Do it at least 3 more times until the stirred water is less cloudy. I do it four times. Your rice is now ready for any sized cooker and it won’t cause overflow because you rinsed off the starch. The rice will be less sticky and fairly perfect. This unit does great. The bowl is definitely nonstick and if you rinse the rice, it cooks it perfectly.

Perfect, simple rice cooker
I have owned a few different kinds of rice cookers and this one perfectly if you use it properly. It's cute and easy to clean. I use this to make different types of rice and lentils. I add any spices or seasoning right in with the water before cooking. If anyone is having problems with the rice boiling over make sure your water to rice ratio is right and that you RINSE your rice. At first I was forgetting to thoroughly rinse my rice and rice cooker was sputtering everywhere while cooking. Some people grew up using rice cookers and rinsing is an obvious step but I started using a rice cooker as an adult and learned the hard way. Hopefully this helps someone. My method for perfect rice with no mess:White jasmine rice- rinse and drain rice at least 3 times (or until water is clear)- add 1 part water to 1 part rice.- cookBrown rice/Lentils- rinse at least once- add 2 parts water to 1 part rice/lentil- cook

Rice cooker
I love my rice cooker I had an older one it was still good but I don't know I took good care of the pot inside but some of the black stuff was coming out so I sent it to the ministry and I bought this one a new one and I try to be careful it might have been maybe I threw it in the sink and hadn't washed it yet and I don't have a dishwasher and maybe something stainless steel got hit in there I'm not sure knife I'm not sure cuz I always use the plastic spoon or wood spoon but I love my rice cooker it's such a wonderful thing I recommend this little rice cookers it's the same brand I bought from Walmart that I got here on Amazon yep I like my rice cooker but do be careful when it cuts off the cooking sometimes if it if you don't put the little extra water it might or a little oil it might get the kind of burning on the bottom cuz this things do get really hot so usually when mine clicks off or before it even clicks off since it's been boiling for over 20 minutes anyway or at least 20 minutes then I just take it off and let it sit like you normally do when you cook it on the stove but I just try to be careful not to let it sit too long after it cuts off the cooking because it will burn the bottom of your rice and it will you know make it hard to get out but other than that you know it's really nice I like my rice cooker like I said I like it and the way that you get stir fry you want to have your rice in the refrigerator overnight you can't just take a fresh cooked rice and try to do stir fry rice I learned that a long time ago but I make a different dish with it it's a great dish I do with the easy way it's not really the way that they really do it to make what I make but they did teach me to make it and it's one of my favorite things and if I say it Google won't spell it and I don't know how to spell it as a Greek name for it but anyway I recommend this and if you get one you're going to enjoy it if you like rice and you use rice you're going to enjoy this little rice cooker I guarantee it thank you

Glad I chose this rice cooker
Nice rice cooker, cooks very good rice, I like the black inner non stick surface, it helps with seeing when rinsing the rice before cooking. Seems very durable. At first when I plugged it in I smelt something electrical burning and saw a very small puff of smoke. I unplugged it and inspected it but all looked good. Prepared and cooked my first pan of rice and it came out perfect
