Fantastic budget keyboard
I love this keyboard. It's a great keyboard for switching between work and gaming. It's quite tactile, which I like - the keys are high and it's much nicer than my old Apple Keyboard with the really flat keys. The keys aren't clicky though, which is great for work because it keeps the noise down (this isn't a very noisy keyboard) and even better for gaming. I play a lot of FPS like COD and this keyboard is more than responsive enough, as well as pretty comfortable and easy to use. The lack of number pad is great so it doesn't take up too much room on my desk. Despite being a TKL keyboard it still has all the keys you need like a full set of function keys, home and end etc. I also wanted one with a full sized "enter" key which this has. The lighting is pretty cool, and I've set it so it lights up differently on my work laptop and my gaming PC so I know which one it's connected to.It is so good I even bought my brother one for his gaming pc! I'm sure you can get more value from keyboards that are higher in price, but as someone price conscious I have nothing bad to say about this keyboard.

Solid well made mechanical ten key less (TKL) design
Small desk footprint. Software works on Mac - but haven't needed it. 6 buttons can be set up for keystroke macros. Volume control rotary dial works out of the box - surprisingly useful. Media button key unfortunately not programmable, so just opens music app, stops, starts playback. Lighting level adjustable at the keyboard - necessary if you want to turn it down completely as the lights will stay on even in sleep mode - but no quick off button, instead tap up tap down several times. Seems well made. Keys are much higher than I'm used to - so wouldn't want to type on it for a long time - you might want wrist support therefore.

A good mechanical keyboard
My friends kid laughed at me when I told them I use a PC with a mouse and keyboard. They walked off and played with this PS5 controller that their parents owned...I will remain the grown up here. I do love typing on this and the extra space it gives my desk back from the lack of number pad is amazing. I am a really heavy PC user and the key letters are like day one. Some fade, not these. The grips to the desk are good and it never moves. The light up colours are a nice touch - only RGB thing I own. My kid does love making the colours change - albeit I have to sacrifice some KDR in my game to make them happy. The material is a nice solid, slightly rubber feeling that does not give your fingers than weird gel like feeling or feel harsh on the fingers. A good quality keyboard all round and a worthy purchase.

Best Value
Great keyboard. Great quality. I like the RGB and black colour. Easy to type, as it is almost instant. Love the lighting.

Great look and feel, but no dedicated macro keys
In my opinion, this is a great keyboard for the money. You get good RGB functionality from the software and a great feel/sound without breaking the bank. The only reason I’ve removed a star is because it shows it has macro keys where the Pg Up/Down etc are, however the only way to use these is to create macros in the software and rebind the keys to that function, losing the main function (Pg Up/Down etc), whereas having the additional text on the key implies it can be used for both purposes (like every other key with two labels). You can reassign any key to any function/macro though, so you may have keys you don’t use and can repurpose for this, but I don’t (I guess that’s the sacrifice of going for a TKL…)There is also no way to quickly change the keyboard profile on the keyboard itself, you have to open the software and change it. I didn’t feel any of this was clear from the description or manuals before purchasing and I was a little disappointed that it didn’t work how I’d expected as macros were one of the features I wanted, just not at the expense of other functions. I’m lead to believe you have to get the higher spec keyboards from Steelseries to get these features, which is a bit annoying as it’s clearly just driven by software, so it’s something they’ve intentionally left out to push you towards those more expensive models and not a physical limitation of this device.Otherwise, the feel and sound of the key press is ideal for me - I knew this before purchasing as I’d been to my local Currys store and typed on the different keyboards to work out what I liked best. I’d recommend others do the same before taking the plunge if you aren’t sure on all the different feeling/sounding key types that are out there. I then purchased here to save some money. It feels to me like my typing accuracy has improved since using this one compared to my original cheap slimline keyboard, but that may just be in my head!I paid c.£42 for this in mid Nov 2024 and a week later it’s been further reduced to around £35 which I’d have been even happier with paying. So keep an eye on the price and buy when you’re happy with it.
