Q: Can this be painted on the top (where your foot sits) on rubber pool shoes?

If you are referring to inside the sole you can paint it but you would need to let it dry for two hours and use a spray glue sealant to seal the paint in place... then let dry for 48 hours before wear. Angelius paints are bold with color I’ve used them for two years doing diy shoes and it works better to me as far as the quality. I hope this helps good luck to you and have fun painting 😁

Q: Can I use this to turn the white chunky soles of my converse from white to black?

I don't see why not. There should be no problem with changing from white to black. Red worked great for me.

Q: can anyone comment on how permanent this paint is? I don't plan to paint the soles (just the heel and toe). will it wear off or make scuff marks?

Can't answer fully in that we painted the bottoms of the shoes and then used a thin, clear, adhesive computer screen over cut in the shape of the shoe bottom to place over the paint. It has worked beautifully and hasn't scuffed at all!

Q: Can this completely replace current damaged soles if damaged ones are removed first?

No, this is to be painted on top of hard soled shoes that have scuffs or wear on their soles. You will need to first replace the sole, as there is no option like that.
