HiLetgo TCS-34725 TCS34725 RGB Light Color Sensor Colour Recognition Module RGB Color Sensor with IR Filter and White LED for Arduino

The media could not be loaded. This sensor emits a light onto the object and determines the color from what is sent back to the sensor. In the video I have this sensor connected to an Arduino with an RGB LED. I use the RGB color readings sampled from the sensor to change the color of the RGB LED to mimic the surface color that was detected. This is an easy way to add color input to a project.

The product says it's the TCS 34725 but it isn't. The picture shows that the product received is the TCS 3472 which is not the same.

The device delivered was a TCS34727 (Device ID of 0x4D instead of 0x44). While similar, the TCS34725 Adafruit library throws an exception since it looks for the 0x44 device Id. The package said TCS34725; however the device was labeled as a TCS3472 and was not purple. It works for my purpose, just needed to find a different library to get the color data.

You must know that the ambient light affects the sensor reading quality, but overall a great product

It does not come with any documentation. Went to seller website, and there is no documentation that can be downloaded. Emailed seller asking for documentation, and received no response. Recommend to check for available documentation before buying anything from this seller. In another review of this item, I found a wiki site where documentation could be found.
