Good embroidery thread for a hobby embroider
I do a lot of embroidery and I predominantly use DMC or Anchor threads.Recently I’ve been trying out these threads, and they are ok. They aren’t as good as the threads I normally use as they occasionally have a knot where a new thread joins which is cutting corners with the manufacturers, but you pay for what you get.I have bought these for myself and a second set for my daughter too, which I will put onto bobbins, colour code and give to her as part of an embroidery set for her birthday.I haven’t yet tried to wash these threads so I don’t know how colour fast the colours are? I would do a small colour test if I was planning on embroidering onto clothes. These are an excellent range of colours, and they appear to be DMC colour coded numbered, but I can’t vouch for their accuracy.I would recommend using “thread magic” which is a thread conditioner (which is found on Amazon and other retailers) with these threads, as it helps protect the threads from shredding as they are being used.I would recommend also winding these threads onto plastic or card bobbins to keep them in excellent condition in an embroidery box. These threads haven’t been well wound and they cause difficulty as you unwind them.

Great range of colours
Good range of colours as seen in the picture. I got 245 in the bag but I don't mind as they are still good value for money. The numbers don't match up with my DMC threads so could be tricky if trying to colour match. But you can't go wrong for so many for the price. I like that the colours aren't all primary colours. They're are lots of muted colours too. No problems with splitting the thread. Would buy again.

amazing quality and colours
bought these as I wanted to have a go at cross stitch and after vising my local hobbycraft was amazed at how expensive threads were.saw this and it had good reviews as well as prime delivery. as well as being very reasonably priced.I also bought a thread box and winder to keep these organised.have to say I am not disappointed, I have reorganised all these colours into my new box and only came across 1 duplicate ( one yellow) which looking at some of the other packs , you get 5 x 50 threads the same colours.this one is fantastic, the colour range is all you would ever needdefinitely recommend to all cross stitch fans, the threads don't break easily and look good in the finished product.

Can't go wrong with this
As other reviewers have said, there are a few skeins short of 250 and there are a few duplicate colours but for this price it really is a no-brainer. I had a whale of a time sorting through these when they arrived. A lovely range of shades, nice to work with and with a cost of about 7p per skein, it's amazing value. Would buy again - but with so many skeins to work with, maybe not for a while!

Fantastic range of colours, shame there's no conversion chart for CXC to other brands
I have previously always used DMC or Anchor threads for cross-stitching, but thought it would be useful to have a collection of multiple colours rather than buying specific ones for each project. Delivery was really quick, and exactly 250 threads were enclosed. There are no repeat colours (according to the label numbers) but a few are extremely close (although the numbers are very different!). All in all very pleased.Happy with the thread quality for my needs & impressed by the myriad of colours. I am only a "hobbying" cross-stitcher so, this set may well last me a lifetime given my intermittent projects! Half are greens/blues/pinks (about 40-45 of each), and the other half reds, yellows, oranges, greys, browns (about 20-25 of each). Black & white are both included in my bag (although I note they are DMC labelled rather than CXC - see below). The only obvious omission colour-wise is a strong red/scarlet shade. One downside: I have looked online & have been unable to find a conversion chart for CXC colours to compare with DMC/Anchor etc. It would be very helpful if CXC would produce one so that it is easier to set up embroidery projects. Interestingly, there are a few threads in this pack whose numbers correlate exactly with DMC numbers. Their labels are different too so they may very well be DMC threads!!

Great Variety of colour, numbers matched DMC
I had read varied reviews of this item, but decided to take a chance, as it did seem that some people were actually being sent a different product.I couldn't be more happy with what arrived. 125 different colours and the tab numbers matched DMC numbers, so great for substitute. I've put most of the skeins on to bobbins and have only found 1 where the quality didn't seem quite perfect, but overall most threads were smooth, shiny and looked to be decent quality.Fantastic value and I will most likely order again to boost my stash.

Five packs of 50 colours, not 250 different colours
I ordered these skeins because I wanted something to do some simple cross-stitch patterns with and they seemed like a great deal for the price. The threads themselves are fine and work well - they can knot up a little occasionally, but if you're careful I noticed this didn't really happen very much and was easy to sort out when it did. The colours are vivid and vibrant and look great on a final project. However, I was expecting that the threads would be labelled with numbers which they, unfortunately, are not, so you can't match them up to DMC thread numbers if you're using a pattern that gives DMC numbers. This pack of threads also doesn't come with any white or black threads, which isn't the end of the world, but again, just something to be aware of if you are doing a project that uses black or white threads. However the main issue is that, contrary to what the image implies, this is not a pack of 250 different thread colours - it is five packs of 50 different colours. It is always useful to have multiples of each thread colour so this, again, isn't a huge problem, but it is not what I expected when I ordered, so just be aware that this is the case.

The perfect thread.
So many colours to choose from and definitely ideal for embroidery. The fabric is sturdy and easy to thread with.End products using the threads have come out amazing.Been able to wash the end products with no issues.
