Sadly I have no knowledge of the Sony Xperia z1, but there are only three sizes of SIM for 'phones. There's the original, what you might call 'Normal' SIM which are about 15 x 25mm, then there's a smaller 'Mini' SIM which is about 12 x 15mm and just to confuse the issue, there is now something which I believe is called a 'Micro' SIM, which I would expect to be even smaller. With the question came a picture of a 'Normal' SIM, maybe you have the same picture ? I'm sure Sony would detail which of those three standard types you need for their Xperia z1 so if you dig around a bit in Google or your search engine of choice you ought to find the answer in there.
