š„The Extension Lead That Will Electrify Your Life (Literally) ā”ļø
I bought this Masterplug extension lead, expecting a regular power strip. What I didnāt expect was to have my life transformed in ways I canāt fully explain without a therapist involved. I mean, itās just a power strip, right? WRONG! Itās like someone took the humble extension cord and injected it with a cocktail of pure confidence and practicality. When it arrived, I felt like I was unboxing an Amazon treasure chest. The packaging was professional enough to make me feel like I was opening a top-secret gadget for MI6, though I suspect the only thing classified was the sheer power of this four-socket plug. The sockets are spaced so you can actually plug in chunky adapters without them fighting for elbow roomātake that, every other extension lead Iāve ever met!The first thing I noticed was the length. 4 metres! Itās like the Ikea of extension leadsābig, functional, and just enough to make me feel like Iām building something special. After the 10 seconds of joy staring at the socket (because letās face it, thatās how long it takes for a man to appreciate quality homeware), I got down to using it.So hereās how this little beauty changed my lifeāand trust me, it changed my life.A Date To Remember (For All The Wrong Reasons)Picture this: Iām having dinner with a beautiful woman. Sheās radiant, I'm not bad myself, and I think itās time to move to the next stage: getting the best lighting for maximum romantic impact. But as soon as I plug in a lamp to set the mood, I realize thereās no more room for her phone charger. No worriesāIāve got my Masterplug with its four beautiful sockets ready to save me. She smiles as I plug her phone in, only for the socket to let out a small puff of smoke. Apparently, it was "too much." Long story short, the date was over before we even made it to dessert. Apparently, Masterplug didnāt think we needed extra heat in the relationship.Family Bonding Time (Or: How I Became Public Enemy #1)Fast forward to a family dinner. Picture this: I'm using my Masterplug again, saving the day when suddenly I hear my mumās voice behind me: "What are you doing?" It turns out Iāve accidentally plugged in her vintage sewing machine (yes, sheās still working on a 1950s model). My dad, whoās been dealing with broken light bulbs for years, watches in horror as sparks fly and the whole house lights flicker. Long story short: the Masterplug is fine, but apparently, my parents are too old-fashioned for āmodern solutions.ā Iām now banned from helping out during dinner. The Boss And The Last StrawNow, onto work. At the office, I bring the Masterplug in because, let's be honest, Iāve got too many devices charging at once. And this thing? It looks like it can handle the load. So, I plug in my computer, phone, and coffee machine (because Iām THAT ambitious). Half an hour later, my boss catches me using the office microwave. Now, I know what youāre thinkingāwhatās the big deal? The big deal is I didnāt just overload the circuit; I fried it. Cue my boss looking at me like Iāve just ruined the company's Wi-Fi for the next year. Spoiler alert: I was fired. Apparently, plugging in too many things at once isn't āinnovative thinking.āGood News For My Child, Bad News For My PetSo, I thought: maybe I should try it at home with the kids. The child loves itāitās safe, which is a miracle because the kid has somehow tried to plug it into the TV, the fridge, and the neighbourās shed all in one go. All Iām saying is, the kid's a handful, but at least the Masterplug saved me from frying everything in the house. Then, of course, thereās my pet. A parrot named āCaptain Feathers.ā The parrot is weirdly attracted to anything that looks like an electrical outlet. I think itās trying to create an empire. Well, guess what? I used the Masterplug to plug in the parrotās favourite toy. Problem solved! And for once, Captain Feathers stopped squawking long enough to actually enjoy his time in the cage. So, yes, Masterplug made my pet quieter. Thatās more than I can say for the humans in my life. The One Negative ExperienceBut there was one hiccupāI plugged my hairdryer into it and, for reasons I canāt explain, it shut down during my pre-date grooming session. Talk about bad timing. Imagine looking at yourself in the mirror with damp hair and zero options for drying it, all thanks to the one thing that shouldāve been my hero. Lesson learned: Donāt challenge the Masterplug with your bathroom gadgets. Stick to what itās best atāpowering your real needs.Final ThoughtsIn conclusion, Masterplug might have ruined a few of my relationships and probably contributed to my job loss, but itās made me a much more attractive person. Women canāt resist itāthey see it, and itās like Iām a walking power source now. You see, my secret is simple: Masterplug = reliability. And women LOVE reliability (I think). So if you want to become the go-to power guy for your whole neighbourhood, or if you just need a solid, powerful extension lead thatāll help you screw up your life in the funniest ways possible, Masterplug is the one. Iām giving it five stars for making me both more productive and, somehow, mysteriously more dateable. šāāļøFinal Rating: āāāāā

Good quality
Robust build. Bought because power in my area can be dodgy and had lost a piece of kit through a surge. So far, does what it says and the usb ports charge fast. Definitely value for money.

Well made product
It's expensive for what it is (a glorified extension lead) but it did mean I could tidy up cables and attach it to the wall much more easily than a longer gang extension. Plus it is branded which is always a bit more expensive, but feel better knowing that ! The cable is really long and provides surge protection for your devices, and the handy USB ports come in useful - shame it's not USB-C!

It does what itās advertised
It feels sturdy and well-made, and I like knowing that if thereās any fault or moisture issue, itāll trip instead of frying my oven (or worse). Iāve used it a few times now while usingmy outdoor oven, and no issues at all. It trips properly when I test it, which is always a good sign.If youāre hooking up anything outdoors and want an extra layer of safety, this is a no-brainer. Nothing fancy, but it does exactly what itās supposed to do.

Great adapter with good design and unique features
Really love this 3 socket adapter, if you can love such a thing. The great thing about this adapter is all the sockets are vertically aligned in the normal wall socket way. You donāt have any plugs on their side and fouling each other. The three switches allow you to easily turn off individual sockets. Great product, well designed.

Works as intended
Landlord sparky installed an unprotected socket in the boiler closet so I'm using this for my own safety. Does the job. Test button works, tested also with a downstream RCD tester and it trips instantly, haven't measured how quickly it trips but could easily measure it with a scope. Has a really dim orange indicator. All in all, good protection device.

Great Heavy-Duty Rubber Trailing Socket
Great Heavy-Duty Rubber Trailing Socket - easy and fast to connect cable to with solid connections to each terminal and adequate, secure cable-clamping - would highly recommend.
