Exercise was never this much fun
I have a few quibbles with the game, but let me summarise it this way: I enjoy Wii Zumba so much, I've stopped finding reasons not to exercise! I easily do 3-4 hours a week because it's so much fun.Let me get the down-sides out the way first:- There are some irritations with the graphics - they can make it hard to see what the instructor is doing.- And with the instructions - they're very subtle hand gestures by the instructions, as there's no spoken instruction.- And the warm-up for the Beginner & Intermediate launches straight in, i.e. you need to warm-up beforehand! (The Expert warm-up is fine.)- There's only one cool-down for Beginner & Intermediate, so I got bored of it v quickly. (The Expert cool-down is good.)- There's some moves which are very impactful on the knees: I don't do any of those. You might want to watch out for them and do something else.- Sometimes the routine hits high intensity and then quickly drops back to a very slow move: I do my own moves to keep-up the intensity- I'd done a fair bit of Salsa/Merengue/Samba/Dancehall classes & DVDs, so I got bored with Beginner after the first time, and Intermediate after four times. I set it on Expert Hard for more of a dance challenge, the workout intensity felt enough at all the levels. Now for the good stuff:- Did I mention how much fun it is and how I don't feel I'm exercising? I'm just having fun, so I love doing it four or five times a week...sometimes more.- It's absorbing, so I don't think about work, etc, while I'm doing it, making it a great break from life!- The music is 90% very enjoyable, just one or two tracks I don't really like.- The steps are fun and creative - if you've done any Salsa/Merengue/Samba/Dancehall/various African dances, you'll feel right at home. (And if you haven't the tutorials take you through it all.)- The work-out time whizzes by as I dance (and sing along!), whether I'm doing 20, 45, or 60 minutes.Overall, the game cost the same as doing four Zumba classes, and so far I've played/danced this game about 32 times, so it's very cost-effective. When I've unlocked everything and all the routines start to feel familiar, I'll be getting Zumba 2 as well.

Wii Zumba
Bought this as I'm not confident (or fit enough!) to feel comfortable joining a class just yet. Love the music but can't keep up with the 'tutor'; very frustrating. There's no real way of making sure you're doing the moves correctly and when you hope they'll repeat of a step, they just move straight on to the next step. The belt is helpful, holding the controller whilst you do your moves. Enjoyable but annoying at the same time!

So much fun I have a new found love for exercise!
Exactly what I said in the title. I ADORE Zumba. I usually don't like exercise and can't find the motivation to so do it but when I bought this game I have had difficulty getting off it.I was ill last week and kept throwing up so wasn't able to do Zumba and it was horrible. I was missing it so much. The songs are catchy and the dance moves aren't that hard. I did the Zumba dvd before doing this game so I knew the basics already. The belt fits around my waist perfectly. I would put it on my hip but because my body is quite curvy it just keeps sliding up to my waist. The wii-mote goes into the belt with the buttons facing outwards and the on button at the top (so the sensor is poking out of the belt.)I put it in the wrong way round at first and it kept saying I was missing the moves. I got really irritated and so I tried it with the sensor pointing up and it works perfectly now. I'm constantly getting 5 stars on the dances. Seeing *Zumba!* in the corner telling me I'm doing well is a great motivation. There's a section were you can track your calories burnt, technique, how long you have played and your weight.I have been getting all my friends to do Zumba and they love it too. I seriously recommend it to everyone. I don't like salsa music and the stuff I thought I would hear on this but there are so many good songs. If they bring out a Zumba 3 I will be preordering my copy ;)

i hated that i was being watched
I took a single Zumba class in my local childrens centre,i hated that i was being watched,i have two left feet which didn't help at all and so i left feeling embarrassed and discouraged.I saw an advert for this and decided to give it another try as i might feel better and more comfortable doing it in the comfort in my own home with no one around to watch my jiggly bits and bobs.I had such a great time and i didn't care when i got the steps a bit wrong.I soon invited my sister over and we had a bit of a Zumba party together,i was happier dancing with her as we looked just as silly as each other and we had a lot more fun.I started with the easy level and beginner mode with a 20 minute routine, after a week or so i decided to move up to the 45 minute routine which had me sweating even more.Every now and again i push myself to the next level just for a change.I really enjoy Zumba now.I know it comes with the belt to hold the wii remote in but to be honest i don't use it,it is generous and fits around my waist but i usually just hold the remote in my hand instead.
