Quay Swan Woodcraft Construction Kit FSC

So easy to build and no need for tools. I always use a spot of gel superglue on each piece but it isnt necessary if they are to be left as ornimental. I use the glue as visitors always admire them and pick them up. They can be painted but i think they look great in the raw wood retro wooden toy style. So cheap too and being flat packed and smaller than a letter box, the kits make great gifts. I'm working my way through the complete collection... there are LOADS to choose from.

Got this to try before buying again to make with autistic child (it was cheap enough to do this). Took me alone about 45 minutes. A bit fiddly but very satisfying outcome. No glue needed and the bits fitted together OK. Bought it again to do with autistic child, who needed a lot of help but was interested enough to stick at it and showed it proudly to Mum and Grannie. IMPORTANT TIP!! DO NOT be tempted to push all the bits out at the start - get them one at a time, following the instructions on the website. I enjoyed it enough to buy the squirrel, which was a lot easier and only took me 20-25 minutes.

This arrived promptly. An ideal craft for kids to do during the summer holidays. Coloured in using deco pens before putting it together. Kids aged between 6 and 11 enjoyed it but all required adult help to put it together.

This was a gift for someone … one of those ‘joke’ gifts as the person this was for is a little scared of swans (It’s my way of helping him through the fear) The idea being that as he builds it he can see how his fear is unfounded …It came in a flat pack with several sheets of Bolsar wood with the pieces pre-cut inside each piece. Each part is easy to recognise where it is and gives you a good idea where it’s supposed to go when fixing it together.The person I bought it for is pleasantly surprised by it and enjoyed the humour of it too, which is nice.He said it took him about half an hour to do it, finding it easy to do. He glued it together with woodglue and once it was dry is was solid. Even though it doesn’t quite look like a swan … in his words, If this was a swan they’d have shot it by now.In all, a fine, fun gift for someone you know, and at a good price.

Bought for son in law as a present he likes bird life a lot

Bought as a present for my daughter's 9th birthday, as she loves anything creative and that she can build. We worked together constructing it and quite frankly she didn't really need my help but was great for 'quality time' together! We only used some wood glue on a couple of pieces, now she is just deciding whether to varnish it or leave as is. Great hour spent together, now we just have the peacock to do now! Would recommend!
