VERY SATISFIED!
I have to admit I was a little skeptical before purchasing this unit, in terms of the sound quality, but I shouldn't have been. It is extremely simple to install. Plug firmly into the car cigarette lighter socket and immediately the unit switches on and tells you what FM frequency to turn to on your radio. In my case it was at the bottom of the frequency band, well away from other radio station frequencies. I set the desired frequency as a preset on my car radio. I then inserted a micro SD card containing MP3 music (128kB/s) and lo and behold, loud and clear. The sound was extremely good. Although one section of the instruction manual, written in 'normal Chinese English', informs that you can also use WMA (Windows Media Audio) and WAV files, I only tested it with WAV files (the best format to use - use dbpoweramp to rip from CD's into uncompressed WAV which is much better and clearer than 'lossy' mp3.) However, having now had the unit for three days, I am aware of a mild high frequency sound that has caused tiredness when driving. I have retuned the unit to a variety of FM frequencies but the 'noise' is still there. It is not a fault but endemic with this type of apparatus. You can also pair it with your mobile phone via Bluetooth (V 4.2) to make and receive calls and stream music, the microphone on the unit being to the left of the rotary knob and the received audio being routed through the car stereo. Therefore you can use this unit to make and receive phone calls, and if streaming music via your mobile phone the music is automatically paused until the call is completed. It also has a small 3.5mm stereo mini jack socket located on the side panel if you wish to connect a further audio device in this way. Particularly useful are the two USB sockets at the base of the gooseneck which you can use, for example, to plug in a GPS and charge a phone at the same time. I am really impressed by this device - it is much cheaper than a new stereo system for the car and being small can be taken away on holiday and used in a hired car when abroad. Just beware of the high pitched 'ringing' which may be more or less intusive to some than it was to me.

Exceeded expectations
I bought this as a workaround on my older car that doesn't have bluetooth. I thought it worth trying given the price and found a positive review of the same product elsewhere. At first I found interference on the audio quality but realised that it was conflicting with an FM broadcast. Once I found out how to turn off auto-search on my radio, and disable the RDS to find an empty frequency, it works really well. The sound is decent enough, there is no "hiss" and being able to play songs and skip them using the device was something I really appreciate. The "hands-free" seems a bit quiet and therefore I need to turn the volume up but the person on the other end says the sound is good. The only minor quibbles - the flexible neck seems to have a limited range of adjustment so I rotate the 12V end to get the controls where I want them and I realise that having the track-name on the display would be handy too, but then the device would need to be somewhat larger. All-in-all, it works well and is a bargain at the price compared to installing a new head-unit or having a bluetooth kit installed more permanently in the car interior.

A cheap solution to lack of a Bluetooth connection
An easy way to enable your phone to be used hands free in your car.Your phone needs a Bluetooth connection - my iPhone connected easily. It is easy to tune the device to an fm signal to connect with your car stereo. However this means that either you have to leave your radio tuned to that station in case of an incoming call, so you can’t listen to programs, or you have a quick scrabble to retune, or change a preset station, when you receive a call. Other than that, answering calls is easy.I haven’t yet figured out an easy way to make an outgoing call on the move so for me it’s safer to stop to make one. I expect that if I was more technically adept I could learn to make calls using the voice command on my phone.I tend to use the device for incoming calls only.Although I have pointed out these practicalities, this is not a negative review. The device suits my needs perfectly well and subject to those limitations it’s a cheap and practical alternative to more expensive solutions.

Good audio but poor ergonomics
The sound when making a call is very good, as is the audio quality when playing music from my phone.Setup and first time pairing is easy enough. However this device is such a loose fit in my power/lighter socket that as soon as I hit a bump in the road it loses electrical contact, and you have to wait while it re-pairs to the phone. This is particularly annoying if I'm on a call at the time. If I attempt to use the volume adjustment, or the other navigation buttons it'll also end up losing power. The long flexible stem doesn't help with the above problem as it causes the unit to lean over. It's hard to find a position where the head of the device doesn't interfere with the gearstick and the power window switches. This is in a 2002 Mercedes E220.I've also tried this unit in our 2007 Corsa, and while it's a slightly tighter fit in the power socket, I find it always interferes with the manual gearstick. As in the Mercedes, I'm happy with the quality of sound when transmitting to the car over FM.I would not recommend this device.

Working fine.
Working fine and what is not stated in the instructions is that if you press the stop button while playing an mp3 track the unit will 'bookmark' the track when the item is unpowered, i.e. when you switch the car off. So far so very good.
