This is baby gate number four for me. I beg you to please save yourself the aggravation and packing tape. It is the most expensive one, but not by much and so worth it. The quality of this gate is 100 times better than the other gates. It is sturdy. It has a nice matte finish. It does not feel or look chintzy. There are a number of additions you can put on, 3 separate ones for a perfect fit. The gate opening is much wider than the other gates. You do not have to put anything together like the others. It says you need to use the wall cups, I'm using it without the cups and I don't think you could budge that gate if you tried. It also comes with a little tool to tighten the sides. There is not a ton of the adjustment screws showing which was really annoying me on all the other gates. It also has a nice opening for your cat to go through that slides to the side. This opening will not accidentally fall down and does not have one of those annoying doors that just has to stay open. I have to wait and see if my 20 lb cat fits through it with the plastic piece in and if not I think I can take it out all together. To sum it up, it does not look cheap. The difference between this gate and the other gates is so incredibly drastic it's almost hard for me to believe.

All was good with a cat and dog the same size until they were older and the cat needed a low entry litter box due to a slipped disc. Meanwhile, the dog developed Cushing's Disease and her appetite went into overdrive. Because they were roughly the same size, the dog could enter a kitty litter cabinet I bought and still score kitty roca from the litter box. With this gate, I was able to adjust the door horizontally and lock it into place. The cat has narrower shoulders and easily passes through, while my dog is broader and cannot clear the opening. Finally, a solution! Pro-tip: when you adopt a dog, make sure it's larger than your cat.

This is a really great gate. I have a bedroom where several of my cats like to sleep. I also have a couple of rescue dogs who like to go in the same room and pee on the bed frame legs. I was thinking when I was cleaning it up last week that someone should make a gate with a small door in the bottom. It’s perfect! Very well built.

Thank god this thing was so easy to put together and figure out because mine didn’t come with instructions lol but that could just be my luck and not an everyone thing. It is sturdy and seems pretty stable. The lock is a a nice feature as well. The small door at the bottom is the perfect size for our cat to be able to get through but not our son. We went with the 36” height so that way it will last us for years to come and I’m glad we did because we won’t have to worry about our son climbing over it. Overall seems worth the money spent👍🏻

Nice safety gate. Sturdy and well built. Pretty easy to install. My only complaint is the doggy door. The plastic door won’t open fully in the hole. When opened as far as allowable it still covers 1 1/2” or so.I took the screws out and removed the plastic door completely then put the screws back in.

I don’t normally write reviews, but this gate is great! I purchased it to place in our hallway to prevent my small to medium size dog from getting to our laundry room where we feed our new kitten and keep his litter box. The cat door access is adjustable and our kitten can go in and out as he needs, while preventing our dog from eating his food. The gate is adjustable and fits well.

I would be willing to bet that any negative reviews about this baby gate come from first time users - there is a tiny learning curve to installing a baby gate - you need enough tension to keep it in place but too much tension makes it hard to close the gate. I like the wall cups as an added measure of stability - I did not need to apply them as I move my gate around, but this is a feature I could see being handy. Overall this is a sturdy gate at a great price with fast (and free non-Prime shipping). It's tall enough to discourage the dogs but not so tall I can't reach over it to put food down for the cats on the other side. I love it

I’m very happy with the gate and the quality of it. I do wish that the Pet entrance was a little bit bigger. But overall very satisfied.
