Great speakers!
Very nice speakers! Though the range is not exceptionally high, there is some reduction of background noise on input! That's great, because now road noise of some creators is less of a problem And, the speakers increase the sound capacity beyond what my usual computer/laptop speakers can handle - another longed for benefit! Would buy again! USB powered.

Great buy
I was very surprised on how loud this little speaker can get.

Works great for its tiny size
You may have to go into your computers settings audio and sound devices and select "USB speaker"

Great small speaker
Excellent speaker. I just needed a small speaker to listen to music at work, since the computer tower is on the floor and was hard to listen. Now I have the speaker on my desk. You use your computer to go up or down on volume.

Just keep looking.....
Nah, don't bother purchasing. Sound is horrible. I had my computer sound set to 100 and could not even be heard in office next to mine. Sound is there but it was so garbled and there was so much trash in the sound. What a waste of money and my time unpacking it.

Purpose built device does what it is supposed to.
If you know what these are for, then they can be the perfect product. They are not meant to be gaming audio or a full-featured solution for audio connoisseurs. This product is designed to be a self-contained, streamlined, and convenient way to get acceptable audio onto something that otherwise does not have it. This product is cheap. This product is tiny. Unrealistic expectations heaped on this is beyond absurd.I got this for a very specific setup. I run several virtual machines on my desktop computer for several reasons. One of these virtual machines is devoted to acting like a metronome and accompaniment for my guitar learning process. I wanted a separate audio circuit that could be eliminated in an emergency, independently controlled, required no difficult setup, and that was totally separate from my voice conferencing and other audio applications AND that was not too loud. This product was PERFECT for this. I needed sound I could hear that was "OK". That is EXACTLY what I got.I can hear my practice tones and practice along with midi files. The quality of sound is good enough to tell if I'm in tune or not. The volume is good enough for me to hear it but is not going to drown out my more important audio coming in. I needed to install NO DRIVERS in Linux or Windows -- both work with it just as easily. I bet other operating systems are just as comfy with it.So, for me, this is a PERFECT product.I am not you. We may need very different things. But, I was not looking for high-end or audiophile quality. I was not looking for this to act as my only audio system. I was not looking for anything very loud.KEEP IN MIND THE FOLLOWING:1) Tiny speakers are physically incapable of producing bass tones. These speakers are tiny. If you expect these to be as good for audio fidelity as a conventional computer speaker, then please be informed that this expectation will not be met and is actually impossible.2) There are no buttons or controls on this unit. This is by design and is an advantage in some situations. If you want something with a volume wheel or a button, look elsewhere. This was designed to eliminate clutter and excess. If you value other features or functions over how easy and simple this is, then look elsewhere.3) These speakers depend on your operating system to have its USB system running properly. Without a properly running USB bus, they are dead in the water. Do not get these speakers if you are not perfectly sure that your computer's USB systems are running correctly.

I needed something simple and cheap to go with a Raspberry Pi and this gets the job done.
There's not a lot to be said for this. You don't buy this expecting to get audiophile sound quality and it certainly won't deliver that. In fact, the main reason I docked stars on the sound quality rating is because it has a very high noise floor and you pretty much hear a constant hiss from it at normal volumes. Other than this complaint it is cheap and it does get the job done at least. For some reason the review offers the option to rate volume control. Obviously it loses points there. There is no volume control. You have to manage the volume via software. This actually brings up a really good point. They could have had +/- buttons (maybe even a mute) on it that would send the standard keyboard volume control buttons to the computer. (This actually works with a surprisingly wide variety of devices with no user configuration or drivers needed.) It's actually too bad they didn't think to implement something that simple actually.

pleasantly surprised
I needed a tiny speaker for a spare PC. I didn't need high quality audiophile speakers - just something for hearing reasonable audio. I wanted it very small and this was ideal. I plugged it into my Windows 10 PC, it recognized it and started working immiediately. It was ten bucks and is tiny so set your expectations approrpiately. But, itwas actually quite nice. Works well, sounds good for its size
