A new laptop means everything is different, including the ports. I love it when a hardware manufacturer decides that I'm going to have an aggravating day, realizing that none of my stuff can be plugged in anymore. Ordered these and problem solved. It makes my laptop look like Darth Vadar with the cord hanging out but so far the laptop has not complained.
