I travel a few times throughout the year for two or more weeks at a time. I worry about all my animals when I travel, but worry about my fish the most because if I’m not there, nobody will feed them. I decided to give this automatic feeder a shot. I did test it out for two weeks prior to my last vacation to make sure that it would work, boy am I glad I did that. It is a little confusing to set up and to program the timer. It may not be for everyone but for me, I had to adjust it a few times before it was perfect. You control how much food they get you control what time they are fed and how often. I love that about this automatic feeder. It worked perfectly after I programmed it the last time and fed my fish like I would for over two weeks. Very good price. I would recommend it. It does make a little bit of a noise when it’s working, but at least you know it is working when you hear the noise, plus when you’re away you won’t hear the noise so it’s a win-win. It does come with suction cups, and a way to secure it to your tank. I like that option. All in all I would recommend this feeder. The piece of mine you get is worth the price.

I'm very happy with this feeder. Having compartments for each feeding event makes it more certain the fish are getting the amount of food you want. It works very well. Feeding twice a day limits you to 1 week though so for longer trips I'll use this once a day and a different type for once a day. I'm much more comfortable with this one though. Just so you know that when selecting a charger, I found that chargers rated greater than around 2 amps output (I don't know the exact cutoff) or more will not charge the device. I see this as as safety feature but I was alarmed when it would not charge until I figured this out.

Once I figured out how to properly use these (the directions were a bit vague), they worked great! I was able to confidently leave my fish tank for almost a week, knowing my fish would be fed the right amount and not overfed. The timer and portion control are reliable, and the moisture-proof design kept the food fresh. A great solution for vacation feeding! One more important thing I want to add - because my tanks both have lids.I specifically chose this one because I was able to position it over the feeding hole and that was so helpful. A lot of the other types required you to leave your lid off. I’ve got some jumpers so that wasn’t an option.Four stars only because the directions were vague and had I not practiced using this on a napkin a week before I went it would’ve severely overfed my fish.

Wish I could give it 4.5 stars, but I'm giving it 5 because it is made really well and works as it says it should. It works really well with pellets, but not great with flakes (makes a mess and sometimes a couple get stuck inside). I don't know of a solution to the flake situation, perhaps a different type of material, but I think flakes would stick to just about anything.The battery lasts quite a long time. I've had mine a few months and have only used it for a few weeks off and on, it's still 3/4 charged. Overall I'd say it's worth the money for peace of mind feeding.Now I just wish I could find something to keep frozen food frozen until it's time to feed.

This is an update from a previous review. I was disappointed because it appeared to stop charging, but due to good customer service, the problem has been solved and I am very pleased. All I had to do was try a different charging cord and it charged right up and is now functioning as good as new! I highly recommend this feeder!

This is exactly what I wanted! I set it up on top of the fish tank, and it's easy to use. I lost the instructions, but I managed to figure out how to set it up. It has a 24-hour timer setting with three timers a day, allowing up to three feedings on each timer, all with specific intervals of 0 days, 1 day, and 2 days. It's very cool, and it meets all my expectations!

So far the battery still shows full after 5-6 days. Pretty easy to work and set up timer. The slots are small and a little hard to add flakes but more slots the more days you feed.It’s great for vacation but not everyday u less you have a larger tank. Mine is small so it looks bulky. I will take off and store when I come back from vacation and hand feed again. If you have a large tank and can fit it in the back it would be an everyday hands free feeder.
