Great Switch especially if you're a Techy
This is amazing value and a highly featured and high performance Switch. I wanted 10Gb spf+ as I have a very busy switch in my loft and my new Router also support spf+. The unit is smaller than I thought. Fits my rack great. There's no internal PSU, just an external adapter but you can also power from PoE.The speed is noticeably faster than my previous 1Gb switch. The Config was pretty simple but I'm only using it as a level2 switch so most worked straight out of the box.The one thing I did notice is it seems to run hot. I believe the temp sensor in the config console is the CPU temp so you'd expect it to be on the warm side. My two SPF+ adapters we running at just under 40deg C. We are in the middle of a warm spell and my rack is pretty busy and I was getting device readings of 70+ deg C.Lots of people on the web have fitted fans but I really didn't want to take the whole network down AGAIN so instead I fixed a 40mm silent fan on the outside and wired it up to a 12v supply. The temp immediately dropped to 45 deg C. LOTS of people run theirs warm and I think the CPU is fine up to above 90 degrees but I'm happier it's cooler especially as I will be run VLANS and I might be working the unit harder.Last advice is do spread the connections around don't dunch them together. Your throughput will be more balanced and you won't max out one channel. It's a great switch and remarkable value. Enterprise features for a bargain price. It makes my old Netgear look a little silly.

Works really well
This works great, instant 10G. Had a bit of trouble but that was user error but once I figured I was using the wrong port (misread ipconfig) from then it was smooth sailing. This is day 1 though, so if any issues arise with this network switch, I'll be sure to note it down in this review.Temps were warm but within tolerances at idle with a 63-65c but a 40mm USB fan stuck to the back has brought that down by 25c. The SFP+ transceivers also came down by 11c from 43c to 32c and again this was within tolerances but I wasn't overly comfortable with the temperatures. This is in an ambient of 23-24c I did seal up the vents on the empty side of the switch and made something to help focus the air over the board and SFP+ ports. The fan is pulling air from the switch instead of pushing in.Update. 1 week later.Still going strong, the PoE IN requires a 24v passive to be powered which I found out the hard way and with the money invested in an injector and a dumb PoE switch. I could have got a smart PoE switch that could have adjust the ports. The PoE switch is the SG1008P V4 and the passive injector is from Ubiquiti. Fan was replaced by a Noctua 40x20mm 12v fan connected to a 5v to 12v Micro USB to fan header adapter that I made. Provides the same cooling without making a noise.

Fantastic switch at a fantastic price
A great and very easy to use switch. Comes with plenty of features, such as port isolation e.g. isolate your file server from the external network, link aggregation so you can team multiple ethernet links and all the VLAN, SNMP, Stats and port forwarding things you'd expect from a switch twice the price. Add in the two 10G SFP+ ports and it's hard not to lose control over just how awesome it is.Only drawback is that it can run a little hot if you're really using a lot of the ports .. but after ensuring a 1U cable tidy space above and below I never saw the temperature go over 65 degrees C.Also note that 2 SFP ports is not a lot .. if you want more unfortunately you need to opt for another vendor or uy their SFP only router and I'd love the vendor to make a version with 4 or more SFP ports. Regardless this switch is truly fantastic value for money.

A cheap way to get 10g uplinks
I purchased this to tide me over setting up a 10gb network/move into my bedroom as I replace it with a proper layer 3 switch. It does the job nicely, fits into the rack cab I've got and is passively cooled.I use dacs, so haven't noticed any heat, but if you use any sfp+ to ethernet the sfp units will get a bit warm, but its nothing to be concerned about.I'm currently using it as a dumb switch (and will probably continue to do so) so I can't rate the software, but I've heard good things - having the option of link aggregation + vlan support at this price range is always a comfort.

Great switch
This is a great switch but runs hot, be aware. you might need to buy a little fan if you dont have good air circulation.

Great value
Switch worked perfectly with my SFP+ module providing 10Gbps and all ethernet connections working well. The price is great value, providing two SFP+ slots at this price is great and makes 10Gbps an affordable option for home networks.
