Good performing compact laptop
Nice size and weight and performs well for the price. My only criticisms are to do with the windows operating system ( windows 11 ) of which I am not a fan but it isn’t fair to criticise the laptop for that but I do like the speed it starts up and I like the included fingerprint security sensor and once you have got the hang of windows even that isn’t too bad :-)

This laptops brightness and sound is rubbish.
The picture quality is great. Unfortunately no sound... Its like listening on a phone call.. Without the speaker on. And brightness up full.. Still not bright enough. 👎👎

don't buy
On paper it is a good laptop with all the bells and whistles that someone needs for running multiple apps that requires a large capacity ram. presenting excel and PP on zoom for example this would go without a glitch. Very light weight and portable . This if the device worked well. To start with I was a bit surprised that it was supplied with a generic charger. From past experience with other acer laptops I was supplied with acer branded chargers. I did not think much of it and as the box was sealed so I assumed it might be the case with the new models. I was quite happy with the laptop . I just noticed that the charging point and area around it gets fairly hot while charging . Then a few days in I noticed some very tiny spark when The plug touched the charging point so I contacted acer and they said that the charger is faulty and advised me to buy a new charger and so I did via their website. The overheating problem persisted and three months after I purchased the laptop in June 24 the laptop stopped charging all together I sent it to acer and it was repaired only to stop charging again in October so one more time repaired and back to me . This is when it gets interesting I was contacted by acers as a post repair feedback and told them that it is not right to send the laptop twice for the same issue . The lady promised me that if it fails again I will get a full refund or a replacement . Thus I kept it trusting that they will honour their word as the call was followed by an email stating the same. Cue in December and the laptop stopped charging. I replied to the email from their escalation team and surprise surprise they said to call so they can book a collection to inspect the device and take on the next step and it was of course collected after Christmas. So what do you think happened next? would acer honour their word of course not . The laptop was repaired and sent back to me and when I argued and said it was not sent for a repair they came up with excuses that I contacted the wrong department and because it was sent to me in " a working order" they cannot accept it back!!WOWZA! why did I do that I emailed the wrong person and contacted the wrong department silly me as if the person receiving my request do not have my case attached to the laptop serial number and my case would be clear but of course what they promised me earlier was all lies . Their repair is guaranteed for six weeks. enough time for it to fail again as the last repair only lasted from October to December about seven to eight weeks. In short I have lost time and money. The laptop is now replaced with a similar one from a different brand. I am surprised that the price increase by £100 more than what I paid still I am £500+ out of pocket and I will be lucky to get half of it back selling it onBad customer service is the main issue here also cheaping out on components and providing cheap chargers that would damage the device. , doing band aid repairs , and now putting up the price. Please don't waste your money and look elsewhere

Lovely laptop by Acer. Very quick to start, easy to set up and nice big SSD storage. Battery only lasts about 10 hours, but quick to recharge! Very pleased with it! JD
