I wish more notebooks were like this
These are some of the few notebooks out there like this. Half graph/quad ruled, half college/wide lined ruled per 2 pages. Not that the first half is graph and the other half is line ruled, but one sheet is one and the other sheet, the other. It's perfect for taking scientific/engineering notes, whether it's a lecture or your own observations/experiments. It's great to be able to write out very rigid, straight lined graphs, functions, and curves on one side and explanations, notes, a legend, equations, calculations, etc. on the next sheet so no turning back and forth between pages or even between different notebooks. I wish I could've had these when I was going through engineering classes in college but I find them still just as useful at my work as an engineer.

Knitters Rejoice - Not just for Science Geeks
I stumbled across this while I was looking for graph paper for writing out knitting pattern charts. This tablet is perfect! I can chart on the left and write out the pattern and the key on the right. Or if I want to keep the pattern all on one page, I could do that as well with a little flipping back and forth. I wish the cover were a bit stiffer as I tend to have the notebook on my lap, but it's not enough to lose a star. Perforated sheets would be nice too, but a metal edged ruler and careful ripping will work just fine. And on the positive side - there is no chance of pages accidentally ripping out and getting lost. The paper has a nice feel and is a nice bright white. I will be using this with a pencil, so bleed through should not be a problem (I haven't written anything yet, I'll update if there is a problem (update: no bleed through)). The spiral binding has been wrapped around itself so that it won't come undone, nor will it snag clothing, bags or projects (for us knitters). Last note: the grid is a bit small, but it's still ok for me.

Perfect for Sales Engineer / Project Manager work!
Love these notebooks! They are perfect for both me & my husband - we both do work that often requires site plans or equipment sketches combined with detailed scope of work notes. These are durable enough to survive daily use, and keep all of our project notes at hand when needed.Mine often end up peppered with tape flags and printed plans stapled in flyleaf-style. By the end of each year I have a diary of everything I quoted and worked that is easy to file away in archives.

If you need to draw and describe it before it can be built...
Great document trail for programming or machining. When opened, there is graph paper on the left page and lined paper on the right. Sketch your designs and describe the intent. Later, come back and look for the path not taken.I have a half dozen of these I used in lab classes. Great way to look back on what you've done (and thought) before getting so jaded.A caveat: this is listed as a 24-pack. It isn't. It is one notebook. It is kind of pricey, but it is also fairly unique.

Graphic Design Tool
I've used these for a number of years and appreciate a few things about this product. The paper quality is great and the weight of the page allows me to sketch with market without bleeding through to the following pages. I keep all of my project work bound in the wire notebook. It lays flat for scanning and the combination of a ruled front page and quadrille reverse is conducive with my ideation process. The graphics are generic enough and the price reasonable enough to never make me second guess its use. Something I sadly struggled with when using other premium sketchbooks.

Engineering, Science, and... D&D!
I love this notebook. I use the lined side for tracking D&D adventures and the grid side for plotting out dungeon and town maps. The squares are small enough to allow for lots of detail. I also use a .5mm drafting pencil, a small straight edge, a plastic drill bit gauge, and a compass. On several occasions, keeping detailed maps has saved our adventure party a lot of time, pain, and heartache. This is the perfect notebook to do just that.

One of my favorite notebooks of all time.
I originally used a branded version of these when I was in college, forever ago, and I loved them then. I'm a bit of a notebook snob, since I spend so much time writing ideas on paper. Moleskines are my go-to general purpose notebook, but when I'm sketching a user interface, or data diagram, these are my favorite. Having graph paper opposite notebook paper means I can sketch designs or relationships on one side, and describe them in detail in prose on the other. These are an essential component of my innovation toolbox, and I recommend them to anyone doing programming or engineering.
