Like the styling
At 46 mm this is a large watch but wears a bit smaller due to the streamlined case back with no sharp edges between the back and the sides of the case as well as the relatively small protrusion of the screw down crown. Good lume that was still visible after 7+ hours from charging it up fully, helped by the relatively wide hour and minute hands. The ratcheting adjustment dive buckle is excellent and allows for quick adjustment for swollen wrists with changes in weather or altitude as well as diving or other wet suit wearing sports. The rotating dive bezel is 60 clicks for a full rotation and is well aligned with no backlash or slop. The dial design with the large areas of luminous paint is quite distinctive and unique. On the other hand the narrow 14mm spring bar band attachment length and then the jump to 25mm band width makes finding a replacement band other than the Citizen factory versions difficult which is why I chose this metal bracelet version rather than the polyurethane strap versions.

Dive in and grab it!
This is my first Citizen watch, and I’m very impressed by it. Solid build and a great design. The EcoDrive means I won’t have to change the battery every 3 years - a huge selling point. I’m already looking to add another Citizen to my collection.

Replaces a version of this watch I had 15 yrs ago
I liked that old one, a BN0016-04L with a rubber watch band, so much so that I replaced it with this current BN0231-52L with a metal watch band. The old one was lost during a move and, as I was viewing my watch collection, I reminisced about my first dive watch better than a $39 Casio I'd take to depth without dreading it would flood. The best thing is the metal band has a feature to increase in diameter so it fits over your wetsuit sleeve when used on a dive. Good night glow capability surpassed only by my Luminox. This is now my daily driver so-to-speak.

Built like a tank!
Very pleased with this watch. I’ve been an Eco-Drive user and fan for a long time and accumulated three others before this one. I wanted a hearty dive watch that I can wear everyday fishing, swimming, boating on the bay and ocean. The Orca is perfect for my needs. The face design and spherical mineral crystal gives this a very unique look. The screw down crown and fold over clasp makes it durable. The weight is substantial but not overwhelming. This was an excellent choice.

This watch is big and beautiful if you like a large heavy watch like I do you will love this watch. Built like a tank the quality shines through I wear this watch everyday and was very happy with the shipping and delivery.
