I much prefer to use this than wire in the garden. Very easy to tie around plants to tie in clematis, roses etc. Lasts a long time and great price too. Happy to recommend.

The media could not be loaded. This is very handy garden twine. It is a soft material that is very stretchy. It's gentle on the plants and doesn't cause any damage to the stems.There are two long lengths supplied and the material is easy twist and tie.I like that it's not plastic but unfortunately also can't be composted or recycled after use.

Great item for tying plants

Excellent for tying up climbing plants and also as an alternative to plant wire. Soft and gentle on plant stems too. Great value for money, I would definitely recommend 👍

As a keen gardener, I thought these plant ties would be an ideal product for me to review. You get two rolls of ties in this pack which look like two balls of wool, totalling 60m in length, so this will last you a long time. The material is very soft and slightly stretchy - practical for tying, supporting and training plants in your garden. However, the main thing to bear in mind with this product is that it's synthetic (made from polyester), which is not compostable. Synthetic string made from polyester, nylon or resin is not biodegradable or UV stable. As a result, over a period of time out in the sun the fibres will disintegrate and eventually end up in your soil where they will never break down. Do some research as there better more environmentally friendly products on the market.

This soft twine looks great, is easy to use, and most of all won’t damage delicate plants.So far I’m quite impressed with this twine. It came in two good sized bundles, so there’s plenty of it to go a long way. The twine itself is made from a soft material and has a t-shirt-like feel to it. I’ve found it stretches out slightly width ways, but not so much length ways, meaning it can be used to tie items without fear of it stretching and the item sagging. I’ve also found it cuts really well, with no sign of fraying. The gentleness of the fabric means I can happily use it to tie back plants without worrying it’ll damage them, and the colour means it blends quite nicely.My only complaint is from what I can tell it doesn’t appear to be made from a natural material. This might mean it’s more durable, and good for long term outdoor uses, but it does mean it’s less environmentally friendly to dispose of.

I ordered these plant ties to tie newly established plants to wooden canes in my back garden. I was surprised when I received the rolls as they aren't like traditional twine they are made of a soft polyester material.I was concerned that they would slide down the canes when they got wet but that isn't the case at all. They are easy to tie and the material is easy to cut and even after a downpour they stay in place.Sturdiness isn't an issue even with the material being so soft and my more delicate plants haven't been damaged when I've tied them up.The ties are versatile and can also be used for crafting, having two rolls gives you the scope to put their versatility to good use.Despite my initial reservations with the soft material I have been really happy with these ties and there's still plenty left on the rolls. The material isn't bio degradable unfortunately but that is the only negative I can find. At £8.99 currently I do think these ties represent good value for money so am happy to recommend.
