Technically this isn't a cube, it's a dodecahedron but it’s just like the more commonplace cube versions of this product (one of which, I use myself) with the added bonus of lots of extra faces so you actually have lots more time options, I love it!It doesn't need batteries (it's USB rechargeable) and it's really really useful for setting yourself timeframes for tasks (1min - 1hr30) and actually get stuff done. Super easy to use: just turn it so the time you want to be counting down from is facing up and it’ll beep when the time runs out. To cancel the timer (and/or the beep) you just position it with the blank side facing up.It’s a very nice quality piece, looks stylish and it’s pocket sized so you can take it everywhere. I've retired my original cube, by the way - this is SO much better!

I like to use the Pomodoro timing method for productivity, but using a timer on my phone can lead to distractions. This is a great way to get around it. It's simple to use and understand and the battery life is impressive, plus it can be recharged by USB.I assume that the electronics required to detect orientation must be fairly pricey, because the plastics used feels really cheap, and there's no weight to the timer. This doesn't affect the operability, but it does make it feel a bit like something out of a Happy Meal.

This Hexagonal Cube is Phenomenal! It is perfect for classroom teachers. It comes pre-charged and I have used it already for about 30 minutes of total time and it still runs. It is intuitive to use and about the size of a golf ball. You just hold the button until it comes on, then rotate to your preferred time. Place it on a table with your time face up, then wait. There is a silent lighted countdown for a few seconds before the buzzer goes off. It is quiet, so you need to be aware of it. It makes a perfect teacher gift, PD prize, or stocking stuffer. I love it!
