Great product work effortlessly cleaning throttle bodies great value

Not much to say on this product, it does what it's supposed to at a reasonable price. I used this to clean the throttle body to get rid of the P1101 check engine code.

This is a small can! Much better value if you purchase locally.

Pretty easy to use, but you have to use some elbow grease too. Simply take off your air intake hoses, and the throttle body will be exposed. I tried removing my throttle body but could get the electronic connector entirely off so I just did it while it was connected.HOWEVER, MAKE SURE YOU DISCONNECT THE BATTERY BEFORE DOING THIS. As most throttle bodies are electronic, you don't want to mess with them while connected. You also will have it "reset" itself to relearn its idling speed once complete.When cleaning, spray this stuff onto a LINT-FREE towel and at the throttle body and clean the top and bottom. Take your time. Do not get the towel stuck in the throttle body.. don't spray the entire can either, just spray when you need it.Looking back, I should have used a NEW toothbrush to scrape some of the gunk out.When I went to start the engine, it would not turn over because of the fluid in the throttle body. To fix this, start the engine and rev, then it'll fire right up.This fixed my low and inconsistent idle! Still idles low (~500RPMs) but it no longer dips to 300 RPMs to the point of nearly shutting off. Very happy I took the time to do this!

This stuff is like acetone, but safe for use in the air ducts of your car. Ironically, I used this to clean my throttle plate and didn't reconnect the hose correctly. It came loose and my car died. All the lights lit up and the engine cut off. Luckily I was at a red light when it happened, I limped to the side of the road, called triple A, assumed my car was done, then looked under the hood and realized my mistake.Doing things yourself is great but if you don't know what you are doing, leave it to a professional. Cleaning the throttle body costs 50-100 bucks at a mechanic so the lure of doing it yourself with this can and a clean rag is there, but if your throttle body is really deep and back in the engine bay, and getting to involves making all the muscles in your body sore for a couple days, change are its worth having your mechanic do it and reconnect everything properly. Just a heads up to put things back as they were after cleaning. Nothing again this product, as my 5 star review still stands, but I learned to let the mechanic handle this particular car maintenance tip. I will stick to change air filters and washing my car myself. Everything else, the mechanics can do.

The can is tiny, but i did not need a lot to clean my throttle body sensor. Worked great.

feel cheated the picture show the size of a tall can for the same price i could have bought at a local store. they we'll not return this item. They sold a mini can did not suffice for the job.
