So Far So Good!
I went ahead and bought this as I was deciding on a portable air conditioner or a swamp cooler since those were my only options to cool my very hot room. I took my chance and coughed up more money for this portable air conditioner. The unit was packaged nicely. It came with a slight bend on the outside of the box, but nothing was damaged on the inside. It takes up around 3 feet of space for me since the tube to the outside isn't flexible and I had to position it awkwardly in my limited space. There are no buttons you can press on the unit to change the settings, so try not to loose your controller. I appreciate that it has a low or high setting for the fans. In terms of noisiness, I would say it's okay. The noise level doesn't bother me when I sleep or do anything in the room.So far, in the week that I've had it, it has cooled very nicely in what was a very hot room. I have not used the dehumidifier option, nor will I plan to.The only problem that I may encounter would be removing the filter since it's in the back and removing the water that may accumulate(?) I honestly don't know how that works but I will update this review as time goes on.TLDR: It's worth it, it cools, it's good so far, the noise is acceptable, and try not to loose the controller.

Very nice for a non expensive product
Shipped in perfect condition, it keeps my master bedroom cool. It’s not loud if you don’t mind white noise. Sleep mode automatically dims light and goes to low fan. Even with the warning labels I feel safe. The unit is smaller than my tower fan. Auto on and off, efficient for room and almost no change in electricity bill. I was running $260 in April with my HVAC system that isn’t working properly. back down to $150 in May worth the money up front, air flow is strong and cold. No leaks in AC mode. The reviews I read made me give it a try, not disappointed for this price range and quality. My husky is happy too.

Works, but it's loud
It works, but man is it loud. I got this because my upstairs bedroom gets quite hot despite my AC being on, not to mention it gets humid hot in my city. I cannot sleep in the heat. Also my room is pretty small, so as far as making it cold it works really well. If I put it in the hallway it does a decent job of cooling the upstairs area, but that's also with the help of fans. Setting up the window vent was easy but I did have to put cardboard in the space because my window wasn't big enough to use the window block (it's two pieces, and I'm just using one). The problem I have is that the unit is pretty loud, which defeats the purpose of helping me sleep. I could simply get used to the loud white noise but the issue is that the unit will shut off once it reaches the temp you set it to and then turns on once it gets hot. The unit turning on multiple times is the part that wakes me up. Earplugs help but not really. Also it collects a lot of water (thankfully there is a water tube), so you will need a bucket. The other thing is, I don't know how much energy consumption this is using. I'm worried about my energy bill. I may come back with edits once I have a better idea.I'm sure the noise issue is a common complaint with these AC units, which is why I'm still rating this at 4 stars. As far as this purchase, I probably should've just tried using multiple fans before buying this to see if that would be okay.

Has Great Reviews!!!
Haven’t used it yet but it has Great Reviews…believe me I shopped around before deciding on this one! As per the reviews It sounds like it gets very cold which is needed where I live. This unit has better reviews than LG, Frigidaire and some others. Price was right for the size/BTU’s (10,000) compared to the others as well. I’ll be back to let you know how good it is after I’ve used it. I’m confident I won’t be disappointed. Oh also if memory serves me this unit weighs 53 lbs. but it has Rollie wheels. Instillation should be quite easy. It comes in a box (that it’s still in) that’s about 3 ft tall by 13 inches square. It seems to be a nice size unit with great cooling capacity. I’m happy with my purchase so far. I’ll be back with my real review.

A lot to say…read first
Lots to say. First, this doesn’t cool the room any better than my 5,000btu did. Secondly, the wire to plug into the outlet, and the hose for the window are both wayyyyy too short. If you want to keep it in the corner, and cool just the corner…then it’ll work great. I literally couldn’t believe how short the wire was. Portable how? To move 2 inches? The hose is also way too short, and shorter than others I have had in the past. The window kit doesn’t fit correctly. Speaking of hose, the top part of mine came visibly cut; so either this was returned and the prior person cut it…or it’s how it was made. The end of the hose did not fit securely into the part that goes on the back of the ac. Everytime I try to move it, it pops out. The hose gets HOT…and I’m told from asking other users, it’s a common issue, and it’s bc of the material used for the hose. It is LOUD on the high level. It is loudish on the low level, but sounds like a standard window unit ac. The high level is LOUD thou. If you’re in front of it, it’s nice and cool. It hasn’t even been the hottest it’s going to be yet and this seems mediocre. It doesn’t seem worth the price. I had hoped an 8,000 btu portable unit would work better than a 5,000 btu window unit…but doesn’t seem to be the case. Disappointed. Will update if necessary.**UPDATE** I took a star off. After the hassle I went thru with it, I took it out of the window and put my 5 year old 5,000 btu back in…and it cooled the room better. I had the 8000btu portable ac, and TWO FANS…and the room was 82 degrees. I put the 5000 Btu window unit in and it dropped 2 degrees in an hour. Lowkey feel super annoyed like this is unacceptable.

So perfectly cold. Easy install.
We live in Phoenix. It’s 105 out and we wanted to save money by only using ac in our room at night. And not have to cool the whole house. This thing is perfect and so cold. Easy install.A little big but that is the trade off for how cold this thing gets our room. I would recommend this machine over and over.
