Bodyprox Knee Brace with Side Stabilizers & Patella Gel Pads for Knee Support

It's not often that I get to write a really great review. Through many knee braces with ice packs in the past that never fit right to a couple I recently tried for a different issue, this one fit the best for my knee. I got the One Size - the strap around my thigh fit well and the strap around my calf fit without gaps or bunching, which is huge. The two other straps which you place in an X are fantastic; they support each side of the knee which is exactly what I was looking for. After several trials to see what worked best, I put the brace on standing up, over my pants, first the thigh strap then the calf, then take the other straps one at a time diagonally across the knee and strap to the calf as opposed to up towards the thigh.The velcro can be aggressive but not overly so; I think it's perfect and will last a long time. The quality of the brace seems fine, I don't see any issues in the sewing or otherwise. I do not know how it would be against skin as far as comfort but the fabric feels soft enough. The gel around the knee is good, the hole is a little smaller maybe than others but I was able to put my knee on the ground with it without discomfort. I did try it on over thermals with loose straight pants on top and it was almost unnoticeable.I had no slippage, I had full support of my knee side to side, it felt comfortable to wear even over my loose pants, and I felt safer wearing it while doing something physical that involved turning my body at times. Hands down the best knee support I've ever tried and for the price, unbeatable.I would recommend this to anybody who is having difficulty finding a good fit for the thigh and the calf, as so many others fail to do, and also for the excellent support it provides.

My knees are pretty much a mess from all the abuse they took when I was younger. Multiple surgeries, including two ACL replacements - and probably knee replacements in the future. All that said, the thing that bothers me most, at the moment, is how one clicks and pops with every step I take. It's not painful as much as it's just irritating, and a little embarrassing. I've had enough people give me a horrified look and ask, "Is that your knee" that I have become self-conscious about it.This brace is comfortable enough to wear for extended periods of time; and it provides just the right amount of compression to stop the popping.At this price, this is a no-brainer. I am buying another one so that I can always have a clean one.

This is a high quality brace. I have had OA in my knees for many years. I generally just pushed through until last year. I sprained my knee and was prescribed a brace with metal hinges. It worked for what I needed then but I wanted something a little less bulky for normal activities and I was looking through the products here. I had this brace in my cart for awhile. About two weeks ago, I was feeling good and over did it in the yard. My one knee was seriously aching after the yard work. So, I finally broke down and bought this brace. The fabric of the main brace was soft and comfortable. The support and compression was good. The patella ring was comfortable. I felt relief the first day I wore the brace. Those are the qualities. The problem I had were the cross straps. They are not the same fabric as the main sleeve. They crossed behind my knee over the cutout for flexibility. They rubbed on the skin on the back of my knee and they were irritating. Then, I think the brace was oversized. The main straps started sliding out of line through the day. I think this would be great for someone who wants to wear it over pants or workout clothes, this would be a great product. I returned it because I didn't like the way it gathered in the back of my knee. I want to wear it with shorts and under my pants.

I am so very happy to have this brace. I have bone on bone pain and never thought that anything would help alleviate it but as soon as I put this brace on and started walking around the old lady limp that I had is gone. Give super super support and alignment and I can wear it until I finally have my knee replacement surgery.

It just didn't work in the three key areas.- It wasn't comfortable of supportive on/around kneecap- It slid and slipped (on skin or clothing)- It was too bulky in the back to allow free movementI am returning it.

I have a weak knee (bone on bone) but am not quite ready for knee replacement. This is a good knee support. It gives me some support without being too bulky and rigid (I have another larger one, but it is not as comfortable to wear). I am using this new one for walking purposes, and find it just what I was looking for. I recommend this, unless you need something super firm.

I tore my meniscus and showed it to the doctor. He said it was a good brace, and recommended that I leave it on until the meniscus heals.

This is a nice knee brace. It is comfortable to wear to work under your pants. I don't think it is stable enough for my needs, however. The attribute that makes it OK to wear for 8 hours at work, doesn't provide enough stability for my knee during sports. I am talking about the elastic bands that cross around behind the knee.Therefore, if the velcro bands were less elastic (stretchy) the knee brace would have provided enough stability for sports. But, that is a trade off... If the bands aren't elastic, then you can't wear it for a 9 hour stretch of time. Do you see what I am saying?I think that the quality is really good. It is made of very good quality materials. The Velcro is secure. It just didn't fit my needs as well as I had hoped.
