Hurricane tested, family approved
Months after I bought this, my area was hit by a hurricane, and we were out of power for about four days. Can confirm that the hand-crank power works, and so do the AM, FM, and (most importantly for my situation) the weather band radio. Flashlight is nice and bright. This radio kept us well informed about storm warnings and evacuation orders, and also kept us entertained through those post-storm days without power. Pro-tip though: before the power goes out, charge up the lithium-ion battery (prevent your hand from getting tired with all the cranking, plus, hand crank is not enough power to recharge other electronics, but LI battery might be). Also, make an emergency plan long before you need it, and if your area is evacuated, get out early.

Everything you wanted!
This radio works exactly as I needed it to. Once charged, it will go for over 12 hours continuously. I’ve only let it run 12hrs, so it could be longer. Haven’t used the solar charger yet as I keep mine in the shade(used to keep bears away from the coop). Love that it’s weather proof. Make sure you charge it correctly. The first time I charged it on AAA and it didn’t last. Dialed it in and it’s perfect!

Good quality weather radio, but...
It is a good quality weather radio. The SOS function is just a siren. I was looking for something that would send an alert when a severe storm or tornado warning was issued. So far I've only seen that ability in Midland Weather radios. That is the only issue I have with this. Everything thing else works great on it.

It's Good Enough
I ws surprised. The FosPower Emergency Weather Radio I bought was a returmed, 'like new', discount. The cardboard box had a crumpled corner, the radio was as new.The radio isn't the best receiver I own, I have several more expensive and better radios, but for the price I paid the FosPower Radio seems an exceptional value. It had enough of a charge to play out of the box. While learning where the buttons were, I tuned to a clear voice transmision on every band within 3 minutes. It is sturdy and will serve well as the radio I use outside and in harm's way. It's still new, but I'm glad I bought it.

Incredibly reliable
This is my third purchase of the FosPower Emergency Weather Radio, and for good reason—it’s incredibly reliable. The NOAA/AM/FM radio keeps me updated during storms, and the 7400mWh power bank is perfect for charging devices when the power’s out. I love the versatility of the USB, solar, and hand crank charging options. The flashlight is bright, and the SOS alarm adds peace of mind. I’ve kept one at home, one in the car, and now one in my camping gear. Highly recommended for anyone serious about emergency preparedness.

Easy to use and has several good features like a flashlight for one.
Great radio to have in order to get local weather updates. That is very important during severe weather and we have had it non stop in our area. It is compact seems well made.

Compact unit
Hopefully the power in an emergency will be adequate especially considering the size of the unit.
