Bowed Psaltery Cherry with 22 Strings made in the USA

What a unique little instrument. It looks and sounds beautiful. Very happy with this purchase. By the way, I’m not sure why some people are not happy with the placement of the sound hole on the back of the instrument. In fact, since I hold the zither strings facing me, the position of the sound hole allows the instrument to project outward. I’m very happy with this well made instrument.

I bought this for my husband as he plays all kinds of stringed instruments, but never had one with a bow. It came ready to play, with only minor tuning. The sound is unique and pleasant, and it's easy to play. I've even been able to play a tune on it after minimal practice and no experience with a bowed instrument.

I replaced the original one I had, and this one is a peach!

A beautiful psaltery that has a very nice sound. The only surprise, for me, is that the back of the psaltery is unfinished. After receiving the product, I realized that in one of the pictures it showed the back of the instrument; but, I wasn't aware of what I was seeing (oops!). Also, the hole is in the back (most of the other ones I looked at had the hole in the front). It actually may be a better design in the sense that the sound is projected towards the "audience" rather than towards the one playing the instrument. I am pleased with my purchase and would recommend the product.

The craftsmanship is impressive. I was sold on the fact that this instrument was a greater value here. Great gift for my daughter.

The instrument is aesthetically appealing and sounds good. Using one string for two pegs is a bit strange. The bow is useless and the synthetic hair cannot hold rosin. Definitely need to purchase a half size violin bow.

This was my first psaltery purchase, and I love it. It arrived practically in tune, and is easy to play. The quality of the craftsmanship is nice too.
