Perfect every time.
This is the second time I've purchased this product. I use it on all my outdoor gear to include prepping my boots/shoes (tents) that face weather outdoors. Not only does this formula work for breathable water repellency, it does help mitigate typical dirt adhesion in day to day use and wear of items.I strongly recommend using the spray bottle they sell in warm areas but not in one's home. Wait till a warm day outside with no wind and no foreseeable rain or bad weather so the item(s) can hang outside for a few days. The curing VOC's are stiff. Once 'cured', the off gassing is minimal if at all present. This is relatable to the more days left outside, the less VOC's.I am a forever customer now. Love it!

Great value water repellant, can use standard spray bottle
The media could not be loaded. I was about to purchased the aerosol can version before I saw the price of the 1 gallon rectangle container and figured I have a lot of gear that are years old and have lost their water repellency.I was able to use an old Febreeze spray bottle and could spray the repellant on my gear.I will likely need to get a more fine spray bottle, as the Febreeze sprays thicker than expected. So far, I've re-sprayed: BOB Revolution SE stroller, Wildhose 3 shoes, messenger bag, shoe gaiters, winter gloves, and lower cuff of some jeans work pants. Only used 2 refills of the Febreeze bottle, and was able to wipe down the excess before the liquid set in.There is a smell to the liquid, and after three days, it's still faint but noticeable. Will have to see how long it takes to get the smell to dissipate. As most all my gear so far has been some color of black, blue, and grey; I have not noticed any discoloration so far.Tested with a garden hose and all the gear seems to let the water roll off. Some reviews say that this repellant can last up to a few years, so I'm looking forward to test this out, as it does take time to spray gear down. Other repellant sprays advise to re-spray every year in comparison.

Perfect for horse blankets
I have gone nuts re-proofing my horse blankets. I can proof 2 to 4 per can with a paintbrush. This product stands up to hours of heavy rain and is BETTER than the original waterproofing on NEW blankets. I have dozens of 10-20 year old blankets that can now be proofed and trusted to keep horses dry in the rain! Yay! The product does smell and does spill but not too bad for an outdoor use. On a sunny, windy day over 50 degrees it dries in about an hour and leaves blankets their original color. Will try Atsko wash soap in hopes that the proofing lasts through a few seasons.

ESSENTIAL for any outdoorsman!
This stuff is WONDERFUL! Seems a little expensive, but its performance speaks for itself! Used product in a good quality hand-spray bottle, then used a cloth to wipe evenly on surfaces. It goes a long way: 2 golf umbrellas, 1 rain jacket, 1- 4'x4'x5' hunting blind, 1-9'x10'x6' tent, 1-10'x10'x8' canopy all coated with ~3qts. total! SUPERIOR water proofing & sun protection!!! I recommend this item to anyone & everyone who has items that are exposed to the elements.

Use sparingly
Do not use a lot of this Extreme water protection. It turned my light grey patio cushions green.

Works great
It really does what it says. But it will turn your tent a lite shade of yellow.

Makes Cheap Rain Coats World Class
I have a Columbia Rain Coat. It was decent but nothing special. It started losing its beading of water. I bought a spray can and it now is the greatest raincoat I have ever seen. I fish a lot while wading. No rain storm can stop me from fishing while I have a jacket with this sprayed on it. It lasts over a year before it needs to be reapplied.I ended up going through 3 spray cans and bought the gallon jug. My family's snow and camping gear are sprayed with this. I ended up spraying our patio cushions and they look brand new a year later.Only bad thing is the smell and how it takes 24+ hours to dry. So you do need to plan ahead.

2 years later and need a few touch ups
Used this to waterproof a 10'x20' and a 10'x10' canopy 2 years ago. We use these quite often throughout the summer and fall as we go to farmers markets all season and do a lot of camping. They're constantly in and out of their bags.2 years later and there are spots that need refreshed where it wasn't put on as heavy. Be careful spraying too heavy, it will discolor the fabric. Our white canopy ended up with a few discolored spots but the grey one was fine.No mildew on anything and no sun fade on the grey canopy.Currently ordering another 2 containers to reapply to the canopies and cover both the camping cubes.I highly recommend.
