I had bought this to make an adobada/al pastor. Turned out great! Reasonably priced and turned out as I had hoped it would. If you are planning to make try making adobada/al pastor, I would definitely recommend this for the recipe.

This is the last ingredient I needed for my adobo chicken recipe that we acquired in San Juan Cosala, Jalisco MX from a man who made the best bbq chicken we have ever tasted. We will try the recipe within the week and will update about the quality of the Achiote then. The purchase was seamless and again I am so grateful to be able to get this important ingredient delivered to me in WA state!

Do your research
I am always experimenting with foods and spices, this was new to me. It took a while for it to break down to make a thick paste, but I was successful. The taste is probably acquired and a little goes a long way. I'm glad to have experimented with it but couldn't really find a use for it. The price was fair and don't feel as if I lost anything.
