REMOKING RC Hobby Military Truck Accessories-Drive Shaft Set with Gear Box Fit for WPL and Other Military Truck

Using on a wpl based custom RC, not as a replacement for a broken item. Unlike what I saw in some other reviews, when I disassembled my axles to add grease I already found them to be greased appropriately but you should still check. I have no use for the file but it’s a nice addition to my RC tool box.

I was searching for a metal drive shaft for my 6x6 military truck (U.S Army HEMTT). I ended up not needing the axles, but the drive shaft fit well. The removing of the old ones was easy too. Just remove the old screws and pull the old drive shafts off. Put the new ones on, and tighten the screws. I was very happy with the product. How it fit, and the skill level needed. I am not a RC car enthusiast, and had no knowledge of how to do it.

Bought on the Amazon recommendation for an RC car.

Use Loctite on grub screws, also next time I would just get the ones without the axles as they are no difference from the old except brass gears instead of steel and a different diff cover. I do have to admit the file was nice.

The original axle and drive shaft broke on my truck so I had already purchased these upgrades axles and drive shaft and so far it’s the best thing for it. I would recommend these to anyone that is thinking about getting this toy truck and changing them out as soon as you get them so then you will have hours of fun without the worry about breaking the axle or drive shaft

I have three fundamental issues with this product:First, while the axle gears are metal (brass), the axles are preassembled with no grease to lubricate the metal gears (see photos) and none supplied in the kit or otherwise mentioned in the instructions.Second, if you're using metal grub screws in a metal drive shaft and do not want to lose them due to vibration, I would highly recommend you install them with medium Loctite (also, not supplied in the kit or mentioned in the installation instructions).And finally, the current selling version of the WPL C24 axles come with metal gears and include bronze support bushings for the pinion gear. This kit only supplies nylon support bushing for the pinion (see photos).Overall, I'm going to use the driveshaft supplied in the kit (which I could have purchase alone for half the cost of this item) plus my own Loctite to secure the grub screws) and I'll throw the axles in my spare parts bin.

It’s good quality for the money, super easy to install. Just open up the driveshaft and add more grease. Other than that, it’s very simple.

Driveshafts are steel,axel housings are plastic, and gears are brass. Nice upgrade from the RTR axles. The ends are clamped on the rear to fix the splitting issue i had with the stock ones. Good vapue if you dont want to spring for the all steel cases yet
