If, like me, you are restoring an MGB and want to make it as close as possible to how it was when it left the factory then this is the book for you. It is meticulously researched and thoughtfully laid out, and literally packed with valuable information. I've read it cover to cover and can now spot an incorrect trim fitting on a B at 100 paces!Just be aware that it is not a restoration manual, but is instead a guide to all the manufacturing changes that occurred during the cars production run. If your car is, for example, an orange June 73 car it will enable you to find out its exact spec and all colour and trim options. It will guide you that bronze yellow will have been the factory shade of orange rather than bracken. It will tell you what style of windscreen washer bottle it should have, and if it should have a brake servo. You get the idea.

This is a really great book and nicely illustrated with superb photographs to back up the very detailed and accurate text. The tables in the back of production numbers and colour combinations are also accurate and really useful. If you are restoring a car you should have this book along with a few others for photographic references as, owing to the photographs being taken more recently - though consistent in quality, the vehicles are not all exactly as would have left the factory. We found this when restoring an early GT and referred to contemporary factory and press photographs found in other books. But this is a really minor issue.The best MG MGB / C / V8 source I have come across so far. This book is so good it turns you into the MGB Originality Geek at car shows - it is amazing how many MGBs have been be-spoiled over the years with non-original bits - and you will notice them sticking out like sore thumbs after you have read this book!

Very detailed but do be careful I made the mistake of thinking this would be closer to a service/workshop manual as opposed to a detailed reference book for rivet counters. Still a nicely made book

It is THE definitive guide to the MG B. Nice to see the effort put in to include the genuine V8, great for us lucky few that have one and from what my four pot buddies report, of much interest to others too. Good photographic variety with thorough and complete technical detail of all variants, dates etc.If you own or admire this car you need this book.

A definitive and informative reference book for anyone with an MGB or interest in it like myself. i'm using the book to research which year and specifications are to my taste before I start the search for my own MGB. I recently visited a classic MG dealer who had one of these books on hand for his own reference, so you can't ask for a better recommendation than that.

A superb informative book and a must for all MGB / C and GTV8 fans and indeed classic car dealers alike.

As with all the books in this series an excellent book. Excellent photos and information. Ideal if you are thinking about buying an MGB or just like cars.
