I was looking for a good hair straightener with wider plates. So I could have one pass straightening. I'm asian with plentiful and coarse hair. I narrowed it down to two. One with 2 inch plates and Ella Bella (with 1.75 inch plates).I love the Ella Bella straightener and glad I ordered it. It has titanium plates with ionic and infrared technology. Its easy to hold and style and for the most part, one pass. It buzzes because of the ionic tech. But its not annoying, just working! The temperature goes to 450 degrees but I use 430. And infrared is better for the hair. It has a long cord with 360 degrees rotation. It also has a lock to hold the plates together for travel and comes with a heat glove.I had problems with my hair and static electricity and heard that the ionic tech would help. I have shoulder length very coarse hair that is slightly wavy, but like to wear it straight. For the last 15 years, I have used a Chi flat iron. It did a nice job. When it was time to replace, I decided to try something different. I found this one and bought for the price. When I tried it for the first time, my daughter asked me if I had just been to the hairdresser. I said no it’s my new straightener. She said wow it works great. I was also unsure about the vibration mode, but it works!! It’s just one swipe and no need to keep going over the same section of hair again and again.

I ended up searching on google for the best flat iron for thick curly hair, this was number 1 and I totally agree that is the best! I was about to give up and just go with my messy curls, so glad I didn’t!
